Bracken's World
''Bracken's World'' is an American drama television series that aired on NBC from September 19, 1969, to December 25, 1970. The series was created and produced by Dorothy Kingsley. In addition, Kingsley also wrote several episodes. The Lettermen performed the second-season theme song "Worlds". Synopsis The series centres on a powerful head of Century Studios and a group of up-and-coming starlets. During the first season, Eleanor Parker received top billing as Sylvia Caldwell, executive secretary to John Bracken (voice-acted in the first season by Warren Stevens), who was sometimes heard, but never seen. Parker left the series after the first 16 episodes, citing the limited nature of her role. When the second season began, Leslie Nielsen joined the cast to portray Bracken. Dennis Cole
Dennis Lee Cole (July 19, 1940 – November 15, 2009) was an American actor in film and television. Cole worked mostly on television, with numerous guest appearances in the 1960s and '70s. After the 1991 murder of his only son, Joe Cole, he became an activist who spoke against violence on television. Career Cole began performing in his native Detroit and moved to Los Angeles in the 1960s. His bleached-blond, athletic look of a quintessential California surfer earned him the attention of physique magazines. He worked as a model and stuntman before making the transition to acting. Del Reisman (April 13, 1924 – January 8, 2011) was an American television producer, story editor and screenwriter whose lengthy credits included ''The Twilight Zone'' and '' The Untouchables''. Del Reisman was raised in Los Angeles. He received a bachelor's degree in English and journalism from the University of California, Berkeley. He joined the United States Army Air Forces during World War II and served as a bombardier on board a B-17 in the European theater from 1942 to 1945. He achieved the rank of first lieutenant. Gary Ennis Collins (April 30, 1938 – October 13, 2012) was an American actor and television host. Throughout his career, he won a Daytime Emmy Award in 1984 and received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1985. Early life and education Collins was born in Venice, California. He was raised there by a single mother, who was a waitress and factory worker. Collins attended Venice High School and graduated with the class of 1955.
