Boxing At The 2012 Summer Olympics – Women's Lightweight
The women's lightweight boxing competition at the 2012 Summer Olympics, 2012 Olympic Games in London was held from 5 to 9 August at the ExCeL London, ExCeL Exhibition Centre. For the first time at an Olympic Games, the ten men's boxing events were joined by three women's events: flyweight, middleweight and lightweight. Katie Taylor from Ireland at the 2012 Summer Olympics, Ireland won the gold medal — the first of the 2012 Games for the country. Natasha Jonas (born 18 June 1984) is a British professional boxer is a two weight world champion who held the unified WBC, and WBO female light-middleweight titles between 2022 and 2025. As an amateur, she won a bronze medal in the light-welterweight division at the 2011 European Championships; bronze in the lightweight division at the 2012 AIBA World Championships; and silver in the light-welterweight division at the 2014 European Championships.
