Eric Kloss
Eric Kloss (born April 3, 1949) is an American jazz saxophonist. Music career Kloss was born blind in Greenville, Pennsylvania, near Pittsburgh, and attended Western Pennsylvania School for Blind Children, which was run by his father. When he was 10, he began to play the saxophone, and two years later he was playing in night clubs with professional musicians such as Bobby Negri, Charles Bell, and Sonny Stitt. At 16, he recorded his debut album, ''Introducing Eric Kloss'' (Prestige, 1965) with Don Patterson (organist), Don Patterson and Pat Martino. On his third album, ''Grits & Gravy'' (1966), he was recording with musicians over twice his age: Jaki Byard, Richard Davis (bassist), Richard Davis, and Alan Dawson. He continued recording and performing while a student at Duquesne University. Terry Silverlight is a jazz, pop, rock and R&B drummer, composer, producer, arranger and author. Biography Silverlight was born in Newark, New Jersey and grew up in North Plainfield, New Jersey. He made his debut as a drummer on Barry Miles' 's ''White Heat'' album, recorded in 1971 when Silverlight was fourteen years old. That early jazz/fusion album featured Barry Miles's compositions along with performances by guitarists Pat Martino, John Abercrombie, and saxophonist/flutist Lew Tabackin. Victor Edward Jurusz Jr. (September 26, 1953 – December 31, 2019), known professionally as Vic Juris, was an American jazz guitarist. Music career Juris was born in Jersey City, New Jersey, but he moved with his family to Parsippany-Troy Hills, New Jersey, Parsippany early in his life. In 1963, at the age of 10, he began learning guitar. At 11, he studied guitar at the home of his teacher, Ed Berg, and got interested in jazz listening to Berg's records of guitarists Django Reinhardt, Jim Hall (musician), Jim Hall, Barney Kessel, Jimmy Raney, and Johnny Smith.
