Blue Line (TRAX)
The Blue Line is a light rail line on the TRAX system in the Salt Lake Valley of Utah, in the United States, operated by the Utah Transit Authority (UTA). It is the first line of the TRAX system completed. The line opened on December 4, 1999, one year ahead of schedule after two years of construction. In addition to Salt Lake City, it also serves the communities of South Salt Lake, Murray, Midvale, Sandy and Draper. The line was known as the North/South Line or the Sandy/Salt Lake Line until color names were adopted for each TRAX line in August 2011. An extension of the line to Draper began service on August 18, 2013. As of 2019, The Utah Transport Authority has begun restoring the Siemens SD 100 and 160s that run on the line, the first restored unit placed into service on April 8, 2019. Gallivan Plaza Station
Gallivan Plaza station is a light rail station in Downtown Salt Lake City, Utah, United States serviced by the Blue Line (TRAX), Blue Line and Green Line (TRAX), Green Line of the Utah Transit Authority's (UTA) UTA TRAX, TRAX system. Sandy Expo Station
Sandy Expo station is a light rail station in Sandy, Utah, United States, served by the Blue Line of Utah Transit Authority's TRAX light rail system. The Blue Line provides service from Downtown Salt Lake City to Draper. The station serves the nearby Mountain America Exposition Center, for which the station is named, the Jordan Commons shopping mall, and America First Field, a soccer venue that is home to Real Salt Lake. Description The station is located at 9375 South 150 East and is accessible from the intersection of 9400 South and 150 East. There is also pedestrian and bicycle access from the Porter Rockwell Trail (Sandy rail trail) on the west side of the tracks. Jordan High School (also referred to as Jordan High or JHS ) is a public high school located in Sandy, Utah (United States) It is one of five high schools in the Canyons School District. The school was established in 1907, making it one of the oldest public high schools in the state of Utah. Timeline 1907–1914 Jordan High School took root when a student body of just seven students led by a man named Weston Morley began meeting in the basement of a church in Midvale. His small group started to grow in numbers and its members began to give Morley money. The enrollment numbers quickly grew, and soon it was necessary to move the students and faculty into their first real school building. South Towne Center
The Shops at South Town, formerly South Towne Center, is a regional mid-scale shopping mall in Sandy, Utah, United States, located just east of Interstate 15 on State Street. The property, built in 1986, contains of retail space with 150 stores and restaurants. The mall currently houses multiple national retailers such as H&M, BoxLunch, Victoria's Secret, Hot Topic, Buckle, Lululemon and many more. It has 4 anchor spaces with a plot for a fifth that has never been built. The anchor stores are Round One Corporation, Round 1 Entertainment, HomeGoods, JCPenney, and Automotive Addiction. The mall opened in 1986 with a single anchor being ZCMI (later Meier & Frank then Macy's). A Cineplex Odeon cinema opened in 1990 as the largest cinema in the state at the time with 2,350 seats spread across 10-screens. Sandy Civic Center station is a light rail station in Sandy, Utah, United States serviced by the Blue Line of Utah Transit Authority's TRAX light rail system. State Route 71 (SR-71) is a state highway completely within the Salt Lake City metropolitan area in the northern portion of the US state of Utah. It runs from SR-154 in the southwest side of the city to SR-186 in Downtown Salt Lake City. The route spans as it runs along portions of 12600 South, 12300 South, 900 East, and 700 East streets. The entire route is included as part of the National Highway System.
