Sonar is the name of three fictional characters appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. Publication history The Bito Wladon version of Sonar first appeared in ''Green Lantern'' (vol. 2) #14 and was created by John Broome and Gil Kane. Fictional character biography Bito Wladon Bito Wladon is a resident of the small Balkan nation of Modora who is ostracized due to his parents being deaf. In response, he develops the "nucleo-sonic motor", which can manipulate sound, and becomes a supervillain and enemy of Green Lantern. Sonar is later defeated and stripped of his technology. However, he is proud of his newfound notoriety.
