It was released on 5 July 2019 through Asylum and Atlantic Records, along with " Best Part of Me", as the fourth and fifth singles respectively from his compilation album ''No.6 Collaborations Project'' (2019). "Blow" was co-written by Sheeran, Stapleton, Mars, Brody Brown, Frank Rogers, J.T. Cure, Bard McNamee and Gregory McKee. Mars produced the song and played all the instruments except the bass.
