The album won the Best Album award at the 1971 King of Pop Awards. Critical reception The Australian music journalist Ian McFarlane wrote, "Bloodstone featured singer-song writer rock mixed with folk and US West Coast country-rock influences and with Morris having written every track..... It featured an all-star cast of session players from the upper echelons of the then current Aussie rock fraternity..... The front cover presented a design by artist Geoff Pendelbury, one of those impressionistic art pieces that were fashionable back in the day but seem to be too esoteric and oblique to have any real significance or impact now..... ''Bloodstone'' is somewhat more down-home and modest without losing sight of certain lofty intentions. Song titles such as 'Saints and Sinners', 'Our Hero is Dead', 'Heaven ...

The operation was highly secretive and required participants to undergo extensive training before deployment. History Background In the early days of the Cold War in 1947, the U.S. State Department became a central hub for influential policymakers and Cold War strategists. Frank Wisner, encouraged by Undersecretary Dean Acheson, took a position as the deputy head of the State Department's Office of Occupied Territories under Charles Saltzman, a former head of the New York Stock Exchange. Foley Room
''Foley Room'' is the sixth studio album by Brazilian electronic music producer Amon Tobin, released on March 5, 2007, through Ninja Tune. The album was supported by the "Bloodstone" single, which was released digitally on January 9, 2007, and physically on January 21. Composition The album was recorded in part at the Foley effects room at Ubisoft Montreal. In the past, Tobin had created music through the sampling of old vinyl records. However, ''Foley Room'' is a marked departure from his traditional technique. Inspired by the Foley rooms where sound effects are recorded for films, Tobin decided to record and work with original samples for the record. According to the Ninja Tune website, "Amon and a team of assistants headed out into the streets with high sensitivity microphones and recorded found sounds from tigers roaring to cats eating rats, neighbours singing in the bath to ants eating grass." Tobin also assembled a cast of diverse musicians to improvise music that was rec ...

Heliotrope (mineral)
Heliotropes () (also called ematille, Indian bloodstones, or simply bloodstones) are aggregate minerals, and a cryptocrystalline mixture of quartz that occurs mostly as jasper ( opaque) or sometimes as chalcedony (translucent). The "classic" bloodstone is translucent to opaque green chalcedony and red jasper that contains inclusions of hematite. The red jasper may resemble spots of blood, hence the name ''bloodstone''. Other colors of chalcedony may also occur in Indian bloodstone, such as white, yellow, or blue. This semiprecious stone should not be confused with other ornamental stones that contain red jasper. Setonite, also called African bloodstone, is composed of red jasper, grey chalcedony, and pyrite. Dragon's Blood, sometimes called Australian bloodstone, is composed of red jasper and green epidote. The name ''heliotrope'' derives from ancient beliefs about the manner in which the mineral reflects light. Such notions are described, for example, by Pliny the Elder ...
