Big Ten Men's Lacrosse Tournament
The Big Ten Conference's men's lacrosse tournament started in 2015 in the first year the conference sponsored men's lacrosse. Until 2019, the top four teams from the regular season qualified for the tournament. From 2021 tournament, all six teams advance to the tournament while top 2 teams are given a bye to the semifinals. The winner of the tournament receives the conference's automatic bid into the NCAA Men's Lacrosse Championship. College lacrosse is played by student-athletes at colleges and universities in the United States and Canada. In both countries, men's field lacrosse and women's lacrosse are played at both the varsity and club levels. Rutgers Scarlet Knights Men's Lacrosse
The Rutgers Scarlet Knights men's lacrosse team represents Rutgers University main campus in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I college lacrosse. The program first started at the varsity level in 1887. The coach is currently Brian Brecht, who is in his eighth year at that position and who joined Rutgers after previously coaching at Siena College. The team plays its home games at SHI Stadium. The Penn State Nittany Lions are the athletic teams of Pennsylvania State University, except for the women's basketball team, known as the Lady Lions. The school colors are navy blue and white. The Penn State Nittany Lions men's lacrosse team represents Pennsylvania State University in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I college lacrosse. History Penn State was an independent varsity lacrosse program from 1913 through 1999 until it joined the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) from 2000-2009.
