The Women's relay competition of the Beijing 2022 Olympics was held on 16 February, at the National Biathlon Centre, in the Zhangjiakou cluster of competition venues, north of Beijing, at an elevation of . Linn Persson, Mona Brorsson, Hanna Öberg, and Elvira Öberg of Sweden won the event, with the Russian Olympic Committee winning the silver medal, and Germany bronze. This was the first Olympic gold in women's relay for Sweden. Summary The defending champions are Belarus, and the 2018 silver and bronze medalists were Sweden and France, respectively. Biathlon World Championships 2021
The Biathlon World Championships 2021 took place in Pokljuka, Slovenia, from 9 to 21 February 2021. Host selection On 4 September 2016, Tyumen won the voting (25 votes) during the 12th IBU Congress in Chisinau in Moldova over Pokljuka in Slovenia (13 votes) and Nové Město na Moravě in the Czech Republic (11 votes). Also Antholz-Anterselva, Italy, withdrew their bid for 2021 championships before the vote took place due to winning of an election for the host of the 2020 event. Iryna Petrenko, née Iryna Varvynets (Ukrainian: Ірина Варвинець; born 4 July 1992, in Mokhnatyn, Chernihiv Oblast, Ukraine) is a Ukrainian biathlete. She is World Championships medalist. She participated at 2018 Winter Olympics. Career Her first international competition was 2009 Junior World Championships in Canmore, Canada. Her best achievement was just 27th in sprint. Justine Braisaz-Bouchet (born 4 July 1996) is a French biathlete, Olympic champion in the 12.5 km mass start at the 2022 Beijing Games and medalist at the Winter Olympics 2018 and World Championships.
