Biathlon At The 2010 Winter Olympics – Women's Sprint
The Women's 7.5 kilometre sprint biathlon competition of the 2010 Winter Olympics, Vancouver 2010 Olympics was held at Whistler Olympic Park in Whistler, British Columbia on 13 February 2010. This competition started at 1:00 PM PST. Results Teja Gregorin was the only competitor who failed the 2017 doping retests from the 2010 Winter Olympics. In October 2017, the International Biathlon Union said that her two samples tested positive for GHRP-2, a banned substance which stimulates the body to produce more growth hormone, in samples taken the week before competition started. She was disqualified in December 2017. Whistler Olympic Park
The Whistler Olympic Park is the location of the Nordic and Biathlon events facilities for the 2010 Winter Olympics and is located in the Madeley Creek basin in the Callaghan Valley, west of Whistler, British Columbia, Canada. The facility hosted the Biathlon at the 2010 Winter Olympics, biathlon, Cross-country skiing at the 2010 Winter Olympics, cross-country skiing, Nordic combined at the 2010 Winter Olympics, Nordic combined, and Ski jumping at the 2010 Winter Olympics, ski jumping. After the Olympics the park remains a public facility, complementing the extensive wilderness trails and alpine routes already in use. Helena Ekholm
Helena Ekholm (née Helena Jonsson) (born September 6, 1984 in Helgum) is a former Swedish biathlete. She was born in Helgum, Sollefteå Municipality. She is the 2009 world champion in pursuit and the 2011 world champion in individual. She also won the Women's Overall World Cup in the 2008–09 season. In 2009, Ekholm won the Jerring Award. Career Jonsson debuted in 2005 in Östersund in the relay, coming in 15th. In the following World Cup in Hochfilzen she participated in her first individual, coming in 41st. Diana Rasimovičiūtė (born 25 February 1984, in Ignalina) is a Lithuanian athlete who competes in biathlon events. She represented Lithuania in five Winter Olympics from 2002 to 2018. Olga Valeryevna Medvedtseva (), former Pyleva (), née Zamorozova (), (born 7 July 1975) is a former Russian biathlete. At the 2002 Winter Olympics, she won an individual gold medal in the 10 km pursuit, as well as the bronze medal in the team relay. She won her second gold at the 2010 Winter Olympics in a relay. Pyleva also won twice at the Holmenkollen ski festival biathlon competition during the 2004–05 season in the sprint and pursuit events. She retired after the 2009–10 season.
