Biathlon At The 2006 Winter Olympics – Women's Pursuit
The Women's 10 kilometre biathlon pursuit competition at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy was held on 18 February, at Cesana San Sicario. Competitors in this biathlon raced over five loops of a 2.0 kilometre skiing course, shooting twenty times, ten prone and ten standing. Each miss required a competitor to ski a 150-metre penalty loop. The starting order for the pursuit was based on the results of the Biathlon at the 2006 Winter Olympics – Women's sprint, sprint; the top 60 finishers in that race qualified for the pursuit. In addition, each racer's final deficit behind sprint winner Florence Baverel-Robert corresponded to their starting deficit in the pursuit; Anna Carin Olofsson, who finished 2 seconds behind Fischer in the sprint, started 2 seconds after her in the pursuit. Svetlana Irekovna Ishmouratova (, ) (born 20 April 1972) is a Russian biathlon, biathlete. She lives in Chelyabinsk and is a soldier by profession. Ishmouratova won the gold in the women's biathlon at the 2006 Winter Olympics#Individual (15 km), 15 km individual contest at the 2006 Winter Olympics. Biography Svetlana Irekovna Ishmouratova was born on 20 April 1972 in Zlatoust. She is of Tatars, Tatar-Bashkirs, Bashkir origin. Svetlana graduated from the Trade Secondary School of Zlatoust and then the State Academy of Physical Education. In 1991, Ishmouratova became the USSR junior champion in individual race and the champion in senior team race. Olga Alekseyevna Zaitseva (; born 16 May 1978) is a former Russian biathlete. She began her career in 1994. After not competing in the 2014–15 season, Zaitseva announced her retirement on 24 January 2015. Teja Gregorin (born 29 June 1980 in Ljubljana, SFR Yugoslavia) is a retired Slovenian biathlete. Career She was a member of the Slovenian biathlon team from 2002 to 2017, having been a cross-country skier before that. Her best result in the Biathlon World Cup is 2nd place in the 15 km Individual race in the World Championships held in Pyeongchang, Korea during the 2008–09 season. At the 2012 World Championships, Gregorin won the silver medal at the mixed relay, together with Andreja Mali, Klemen Bauer and Jakov Fak. The Slovenian biathlete was the only competitor who failed the 2017 doping retests from the 2010 Winter Olympics. Linda Grubben (née Linda Tjørhom; 13 September 1979 in Stavanger) is a retired Norwegian biathlete. She won a silver medal at the 2002 Winter Olympics in the 4 × 7.5 km relay. She won the gold medal in the 4 x 6 km relay at the Biathlon World Championships 2004 in Oberhof, 2004. Individually, she won the bronze medal at the 15 km of the Biathlon World Championship 2005 in Hochfilzen.
