History This newspaper was first published on 21 February 1993. Mohammad Atikullah Khan Masud was the editor of the newspaper till his death. The ''Daily Naya Diganta'' () is a Bengali daily newspaper published in Bangladesh since 2004. History It is part of Diganta Media Corporation, which was owned by Mir Quasem Ali, politician of the Jamaat-e-Islami. The television channel, Diganta TV, is a sister concern of the newspaper. The television was launched in August 2008. Alamgir Mohiuddin is the editor of Naya Diganta. ''Jaijaidin'' ( '' Jaejaedin'') is a Bengali-language daily newspaper published from Dhaka, Bangladesh. Editor In Bangladesh, ''Jaijaidin'' was published and edited by Shafik Rehman, but he lost the editorship of ''Jaijaidin'' in 2008 for his stand against a military-backed government. Kazi Rukanuddin Ahmed is now the acting editor. Sayeed Hossain Chowdhury is now the chairman of the Board of Editors. It used to be published as a weekly until mid-2006, at which point, it became a daily. It came into fame during the 1980s because of its modern outlook and strong stance against the military ruler Hossain Mohammad Ershad. At one point, it was banned by Ershad. Saber Hossain Chowdhury, OF (born 10 September 1961) is a Bangladeshi politician and a former Jatiya Sangsad member representing the Dhaka-9 constituency during 2008–2024.
