Belgium Men's National Basketball Team
The Belgium men's national basketball team has represented Belgium in international basketball since 1928. The supervising body for the national team is Basketball Belgium. Belgium has qualified for the EuroBasket 19 times throughout their history, achieving their best result at the event in 1947, where they finished in fourth place. Moreover, Belgium has competed at the Olympic Games on three occasions, in 1936, 1948, and 1952. However, Belgium is still in pursuit of making their first appearance at the FIBA World Cup. Dario Gjergja
Dario Gjergja (born 21 August 1975) is a Croatian-Belgian professional basketball coach who currently serves as the head coach for Limoges CSP of the LNB Pro A and the Belgium national team. Coaching career Gjergja signed with Telenet BC Oostende in December 2011. He was named the Coach of the Year in Belgium for the 2012–13 season. In May 2014, he extended his contract for 3 more years. In February 2017, Gjergja extended his contract with Telenet Oostende for another four years. He decided to step away from BC Oostende on June 7, 2025, after winning his 14th Belgian Championship in 14 years of coaching Oostende. On June 11, 2025, he signed with Limoges CSP of the LNB Pro A. The Spain men's national basketball team () represents Spain in international basketball competitions. They are managed by the Spanish Basketball Federation, the governing body for basketball in Spain. Spain is the current European champion. The Austria men's national basketball team () represents Austria in international basketball competition. The team is controlled and organised by Basketball Austria.
