Janeth Arcain
Janeth dos Santos Arcain (, born April 11, 1969) is a Brazilian former professional women's basketball player. She played in the United States for the Houston Comets in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) from 1997 to 2005. Arcain is one of the players inducted in the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame in 2015. She was inducted into the FIBA Hall of Fame in 2019. WNBA career Arcain was one of the original players selected from the WNBA's inaugural season in 1997. She was selected 13th overall in the second round of the Elite draft by the Houston Comets. Bev Smith
Beverly "Bev" Smith (born April 4, 1960) is a Canadian basketball player and coach. Smith played college basketball at the Oregon Ducks, where she was named a Women's Basketball Coaches Association All-American in 1981 and 1982. Her 2004 team made the National Collegiate Athletic Association tournament, after finishing 2nd in the Pacific-10 Conference; that was her second 20-win season. Oregon defeated Texas Christian University to advance to the 2nd round. In 2016, Smith was named to the Pac-12 women's basketball all-century team. Smith led Canada's national team to a medal in the 1999 Pan American Games. While playing at Oregon, the team had a record of 93–19. The Canada women's national basketball team () represents Canada in international basketball competitions. They are overseen by Canada Basketball, the governing body for basketball in Canada. History 2015 Pan American Games The Canada women's national basketball team participated in basketball at the 2015 Pan American Games held in Toronto, Ontario, Canada from July 10 to 26, 2015. Canada opened the preliminary rounds with an easy 101–38 win over Venezuela. The following day they beat Argentina 73–58.
