Bakıxanov
Bakıxanov () is a settlement and municipality in Baku, Azerbaijan. It was named after Abbasgulu Bakikhanov and has a population of 71,600. It contains a mosque and a public park. On the eastern side of the town is Bulbula (lake), Bulbula Lake. Sabunçu, Baku, Sabunchu lies near northwestern Bakıxanov. Baku Suburban Railway
The Baku suburban railway () or Absheron Circular line () is a commuter rail service which began in 2019, serving the Azerbaijani capital Baku. Background In 2016, Chairman of Azerbaijan Railways Javid Gurbanov confirmed that work was underway on a railway line to Heydar Aliyev International Airport from Baku's Baku railway station, main station. In 2018, president Ilham Aliyev announced funding for a suburban rail service for Baku. The 100 million Azerbaijani manat, manat project was to include upgrading the existing railway between Baku and Sumqayıt via Biləcəri, as well as bring back into use the disused route connecting the two cities via Sabunçu and Pirşağı. The plans included 23 stations on the route, which would also have branches to Dübandi and Maştağa, with a branch serving the airport being built in a later phase. Abbasgulu Bakikhanov
Abbasgulu agha Bakikhanov () (, – January 1847), Abbas Qoli Bakikhanov, or Abbas-Qoli ibn Mirza Mohammad (Taghi) Khan Badkubi was an Azerbaijani writer, historian, journalist, linguist, poet and philosopher. He was son of the third khan of Baku Mirza Muhammad Khan II. Served as an officer in the Imperial Russian Army and participated in the Russo-Persian War of 1826–1828, he later retired and settled in Quba. Also known by his pen name ''Qodsi'' (Azeri: ''Qüdsi''), many Azerbaijani scholars view Bakikhanov as among their first thinkers and historians. He is credited with being the first person that wrote a "scholarly monograph on the history of greater Shirvan"; the area that would later make up most of the Republic of Azerbaijan. His ''Qanun-e Qodsi'', was the first Persian grammar manual published. Sabunchu district (formerly: Lenin district) is a district of Baku city. Population According to AzStat's official data as of January 1, 2013, 231,271 people live in the region. History With the decision of the National Council of the Supreme Soviet of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 29 April 1992 and numbered 112, Lenin district of Baku city was named Sabunçu district. Huseyn Derya
Huseyn Muradov (29 June 1975 – 15 March 2014), better known by his stage name Huseyn Derya, was an award-winning Azerbaijani rapper and actor from Baku, Azerbaijan. Early life Darya was born on June 29, 1975, in Baku, in the district of Bakikhanov. He graduated from Baku secondary school No. 4, and was accepted to Baku State University Baku State University (BSU) (BDU; ) is a public university located in Baku, Azerbaijan. Established on 1 September 1919 by the Parliament of Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, the university started with faculties of history and philology, physics ..., but at the same time, there was a war in Azerbaijan. He dropped out of university and joined the army. After returning from the war, he continued his career as a musician. Sabunchu () is a settlement and municipality in the Sabunchu Rayon of the capital city of Baku, Azerbaijan. It has a population of 33,400. Stepan Razin
Stepan Timofeyevich Razin (, ; c. 1630 – ), known as Stenka Razin ( ), was a Don Cossack leader who led a major uprising against the nobility and tsarist bureaucracy in southern Russia in 1670–1671. Early life Razin's father, Timofey Razya, supposedly came from a suburb of Voronezh, a city near Russia's steppe frontier, called the Wild Fields. Razin's uncle and grandmother still lived in the village of ''New Usman or ''Usman' Sobakina'', outside of Voronezh, until 1667. The identity of Razin's mother is debated. In one document, Razin was referred to as a ''tuma Cossack'' which means "half-blood", leading to a hypothesis that his mother was a captured "Turkish" (''turchanka'') or Crimean Tatar woman.
