Clara Beranger (' Strouse; January 14, 1886 – September 10, 1956) was an American screenwriter of the silent film era and a member of the original faculty of the USC School of Cinematic Arts. Biography Beranger was born Clara Strouse in Baltimore, Maryland, to Benjamin and Fannie (Kahn) Strouse. Her family was of German Jewish descent. Christine Goitschel
Christine Béranger-Goitschel (born 9 June 1944) is a former French alpine skier. She is the elder sister of fellow champion skier Marielle Goitschel and the aunt of the former speed skier Philippe Goitschel. Her sister Patricia was a national junior champion in the slalom in 1964. After great success in the 1964 Winter Olympics, she and her sister Marielle were considered the world's best female skiers. However, Goitschel fractured an ankle in 1966, and retired from her sporting career after the 1968 Winter Olympics in Grenoble, France. Christine and Marielle Goitschel were the first ever female siblings on the same individual event's Olympic podium, winning the gold (Christine) and silver (Marielle) medals in the 1964 Olympic slalom. François Béranger (; August 28, 1937, Amilly, Loiret – October 14, 2003) was a French singer and left libertarian. Life and Career Béranger was born in Amilly, Loriet, and was the oldest of 4 children. His mother, Jeanne was a seamstress and his father, André was a member of parliament for the Popular Republican Movement. Later, André was demobilized, and the family moved to a private mansion in Boulonge. Béranger began making music in the 1960s, influenced by realistic music and working-class culture. He took part in the revolts of May 68, and wrote protest songs such as ''L'alternative'', ''Participe Présent'', ''Rachel'', and ''Tranche de Vie''. Béranger's body was buried at the Juvénal cemetery in Castelnau-le-Lez.
