Apollo Road wharf is a ferry wharf located on the southern side of the Brisbane River serving the Brisbane suburb of Bulimba in Queensland, Australia. It is served by RiverCity Ferries' CityCat services. History The original wharf closed when Brisbane City Council ceased operating the cross river service to Bretts Wharf Bretts Wharf is a ferry terminal on the northern bank of the Brisbane River in the suburb of Hamilton in the City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It serves patrons from nearby Racecourse Road and Portside Wharf, as well as visitors to Eagle ... in December 1998 due to growing losses. It reopened on 4 February 2008 as the downstream terminus of the CityCat service. The wharf sustained minor damage during the January 2011 Brisbane floods. It reopened after repairs on 14 February 2011. Until October 2011, Apollo Road wharf was the downstream terminus for the CityCat service when it was extended to Northshore Hamilton.

Bulimba
Bulimba is a suburb in the City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. In the , Bulimba had a population of 6,843 people. Geography Bulimba is located north-east of the CBD on the southern bank of the Brisbane River, but it is by road. Toponymy Bulimba is reportedly a Yugarapul word used meaning 'place of the magpie lark'. The same word is the origin of the nearby Bulimba Creek, and of the Bulimba Reach on which the suburb is located. The leader, Bilin Bilin, has his name based upon the magpie lark, or the pee-wee. History Bulimba was originally inhabited by the Yuggara people, who have lived in the area for at least 20,000 years.
