''An Eye for an Eye'' is the second studio album by American metalcore band Like Moths to Flames. The album was released on July 9, 2013, through Rise Records and was produced by Will Putney. It's the first album to feature drummer Greg Diamond and the last to feature guitarist Zach Huston. Critical reception The album received mostly positive reviews, but also mixed reviews from several critics. ''Already Heard'' rated the album 3.5 out of 5 and stated: "Like Moths to Flames are the kind of band you'd probably never pay to see, but would really get into if they were a support band and you'd had a few beers. Like Moths To Flames
Like Moths to Flames is an American metalcore band from Columbus, Ohio, formed in 2010 by former members of various bands, including Emarosa, Agraceful, the Crimson Armada, and My Ticket Home. The band has released four studio albums and three EPs through Rise Records. The band's current line-up consists of lead vocalist Chris Roetter, bassist Aaron Evans, lead guitarist Jeremy Smith, and rhythm guitarist Zach Pishney. Roetter and Evans are the only two members of the original line-up that remain in the band. History Formation and ''Sweet Talker'' (2010) The band was formed in early 2010. Silverstein () is a Canadian rock band from Burlington, Ontario, formed in 2000. Their band name is a reference to the famous children's author Shel Silverstein, whom the band had admired and whose work they had read as children. Metalcore
Metalcore (also known as metallic hardcore) is a fusion music genre that combines elements of extreme metal and hardcore punk. As with other styles blending metal and hardcore, such as crust punk and grindcore, metalcore is noted for its use of breakdowns, slow, intense passages conducive to moshing. Other defining instrumental qualities include heavy riffs and stop-start rhythm guitar playing, occasional blast beats, and double bass drumming.
