''Alice'' is the third album by Brazilian singer Alice Caymmi, released on 19 January 2018. It was produced by Barbara Ohana and sees the singer working on a more pop-oriented sound. It was ranked as the 46th best Brazilian album of 2018 by the Brazilian edition of ''Rolling Stone'' magazine. Album cover and title The album cover was created by Daryan Dornelles. It depicts Caymmi dressed as a bride, submerged and tied up with the shibari technique, representing the "pure and profane". The cover also features a heart and her name in neon lights, but with a turned off "Caymmi". Song information Rapper Rincon Sapiência was invited to guest sing on "Inimigos", in which he is also a co-composer. The song talks about a common universe for artists, as mentioned by Caymmi: "When your art simply meets truly bad obstacles and people". Alice Caymmi
Alice Caymmi (born Alice Malaguti Caymmi on March 17, 1990) is a Brazilian singer and composer. She is the granddaughter of Dorival Caymmi, daughter of Danilo and Simone Caymmi and niece of Nana and Dori Caymmi. Career Before opting for a musical life, Alice studied law. Afterwards, she studied performing arts cênicas at Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro. Her first professional recording was at the age of 12 in her aunt Nana's album ''Desejo'', specifically on the track "Seus Olhos", written by her sister Juliana. Shortly after, they performed the song with Nana at a sold-out Canecão. In 2007, she took part of the ending ceremony of the 2007 Pan American Games with her father Danilo. Moacir Santos
Moacir Santos (26 July 1926 – 6 August 2006) was a Brazilian composer, multi-instrumentalist and music educator. Musicians such as Baden Powell, Bola Sete and Wilson das Neves studied under him. As a composer, Santos worked with Nara Leão, Roberto Menescal, Sérgio Mendes and Lynda Laurence, among others. His music was highly respected by musicians in Brazil and the United States, despite never achieving wider recognition. Gaslighting is a colloquialism, loosely defined as manipulating someone so as to make them question their own reality. The term derives from the title of the 1944 American film ''Gaslight'', which was based on the 1938 British theatre play ''Gas Light'' by Patrick Hamilton, though the term did not gain popular currency in English until the mid-2010s.
