AAA World Tag Team Championship
The AAA World Tag Team Championship (''Campeonato en Parejas AAA'' in Spanish) is the main tag team title contested for in the Mexican lucha libre promotion Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA). In 1993 AAA created the first version of the AAA World Tag team championship, technically the AAA/IWC (International Wrestling Council) World Tag Team titles. The belts used for the AAA/IWC titles were the old NWA Pacific Northwest Tag Team Championship belts. The original version was abandoned upon Art Barr's death in 1994. In 2007 AAA created a new World tag team title to replace the Comisión de Box y Lucha Libre Mexico D.F. controlled Mexican National Tag Team Championship. FTR (professional Wrestling)
FTR (often stylized as #FTR) is an American professional wrestling tag team consisting of Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood. The team is currently signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW), where they are currently double tag team champions in their first reign each with the AAA World Tag Team Championship from AEW's Mexico based partner promotion Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA), and the IWGP Tag Team Championship from another AEW partner promotion, New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW). Lucha Libre
Lucha libre (, meaning "freestyle wrestling" or literally translated as "free fight") is the term used in Latin America for professional wrestling. Since its introduction to Mexico in the early 20th century, it has developed into a unique form of the genre, characterized by colorful masks, rapid sequences of holds and maneuvers, and "high-flying" maneuvers, some of which have been adopted in the United States, Japan, and elsewhere. The wearing of masks has developed special significance, and matches are sometimes contested in which the loser must permanently remove his mask, which is a wager with a high degree of weight attached. Tag team wrestling is especially prevalent in lucha libre, particularly matches with three-member teams, called ''trios''. Tonalá () is a city and municipality within the Guadalajara Metropolitan Area in the state of Jalisco in Mexico. Octagón
Juan Escalera (born March 27, 1961) is a Mexican luchador enmascarado (masked professional wrestler) better known as Octagón. He is best known for working for Asistencia Asesoría y Administración (AAA), having worked for the company since it was founded in 1992. In 2011 he was inducted into the promotion's Hall of Fame. Octagón formed a tag team with El Hijo Del Santo to take on Los Gringos Locos (Eddie Guerrero and Art Barr) in a double mask versus hair match on the first pay-per-view put on by a Mexican wrestling promotion to air in the United States.
