Aílton (footballer, Born 1956)
José Aílton de Oliveira Silva (29 May 1956 – 1 June 2021), simply known as Aílton, was a Brazilian professional footballer who played as a centre-back. Career Aílton appeared at Itabaiana as part of three state titles won by the club. He repeated the feat at Sport in 1981-82 and at Cruzeiro in 1984. He returned to Sport in 1986 when he established himself in the club's history. He ended his career in 1992, the year in which he won the Bola de Prata in the Campeonato Brasileiro. Aílton also was placed in the Best XI of the Sport Recife history. Laranjeiras, Sergipe
Laranjeiras (, ''Orange Trees'') is a municipality located in the Brazilian state of Sergipe. Its population was 30,080 (2020) and covers . Laranjeiras has a population density of 180 inhabitants per square kilometer. Laranjeiras is located from the state capital of Sergipe, Aracaju. It borders the municipalities of Riachuelo, Areia Branca, Nossa Senhora do Socorro, São Cristóvão, Maruim, and Santo Amaro das Brotas, all within the state of Sergipe. The municipality contains part of the Serra de Itabaiana National Park. History Cristóvão de Barros killed or expelled the indigenous population of the Laranjeiras area around 1530. The Portuguese soon settled on the Cotinguiba River and built a small port, called the Porto de Laranjeiras, after numerous orange trees near the port. Campeonato Mineiro
The Campeonato Mineiro is the top-flight professional state football league in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais. It is run by the Minas Gerais Football Federation (FMF). The history of Campeonato Mineiro can be divided into two parts: before and after the construction of the Mineirão, in September 1966. The Mineirão is the biggest football stadium of Minas Gerais and it is located in Minas Gerais' state capital, Belo Horizonte. Before the stadium's inauguration América and Atlético were the most successful teams in the state, but after the construction of the Mineirão, known as the "Era Mineirão" ("Mineirão Era"), another team from the capital, Cruzeiro, also gained prominence. Atlético is the most successful team in the competition, having won 50 championships as of 2025, trailed by Cruzeiro with 38 championships. The Campeonato Pernambucano is the top-flight professional state football league in the Brazilian state of Pernambuco. It is run by the Pernambuco Football Federation (FPF). History The first edition of the Campeonato Pernambucano was played in 1915, and was won by Flamengo de Recife, a defunct club. In 1936, Tramways became undefeated state champions with a team made up of players who were paid a salary. This led to significant changes in the structure of football in Pernambuco, heralding the definitive transition from amateurism to professionalism. The following season, Central's defender Zago became the first player to be registered as a professional by the Pernambuco Sports Federation, marking the official start of professionalism in the state.
