Awards Of The Montenegrin Olympic Committee
Awards of the Montenegrin Olympic Committee ( cnr, Nagrade Crnogorskog olimpijskog komiteta) are proclaimed since 1999, at the end of each calendar year, to the most successful athletes. Initially declared Young Male Athlete, Young Female Athlete, Men's Team and Woman's Team, awards for the Sportsman of the Year were introduced in 2011. The competition includes results from current Olympic sports. Criteria for Awards Awards are given to the athletes and teams according to their results in Olympic sports and Paralympic sports. Montenegrin Olympic Committee
The Montenegrin Olympic Committee ( Montenegrin: Црногорски олимпијски комитет / Crnogorski olimpijski komitet) is the National Olympic Committee representing Montenegro. It is responsible for promoting the Olympic ideals and for ensuring that Montenegro is represented with athletes at the Olympic Games and other multi-sport events. The committee's president, , is Dušan Simonović. Members of the committee are 20 sports federations, which elect the Executive Council composed of the president and sixteen members. The MOC organizes the 2019 Games of the Small States of Europe in Budva. Aleksandar Ivović
Aleksandar Ivović, (born 24 February 1986) is a Montenegrin professional water polo player. He started his career at PVK Jadran, which is his first senior team to compete for. He was a member of the Montenegro men's national water polo team at the 2008 Summer Olympics. The team reached the semifinals, where they were defeated by Hungary and then lost to Serbia in the bronze medal match. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, he was again a member of Montenegro's team, where they lost to Croatia in the semi-final, and then lost to Serbia again in the bronze medal match, this time 11–12. He is considered one of the best defenders of all time and by many the top in his position in the world as he can transform the entire defense of his team. Mlađan Janović ( sr-cyrl, Млађан Јановић; born 12 June 1984 in Kotor, SR Montenegro, Yugoslavia) is a Montenegrin water polo player. He currently plays for AN Brescia and he is a long-standing member of the Montenegrin national water polo team. He was part of the Montenegro national team that was crowned European Champion at the 2008 European Championship in Málaga. Career At club level, he played for his local club VK Primorac Kotor and was also a member of Pro Recco, Olympiacos, CN Marseille and RN Savona. Janović was a member of the Montenegro men's national water polo team who finished 4th in the 2008 Games of the XXIX Olympiad in Beijing. This was his first Olympic Games participation. The team was defeated by Hungary in the semifinals and by Serbia in the bronze medal match.
