Austrian Football Bundesliga
The Bundesliga ( , "Federal League"), also known as Admiral Bundesliga for sponsorship reasons, is a professional association football league in Austria and the highest level of the Austrian football league system. The competition decides the Austrian Austrian champions (football), national football champions, as well the country's entrants for the various European cups run by UEFA. The Austrian Bundesliga, which began in the 1974–75 Austrian Football Bundesliga, 1974–75 season, has been a separate registered association since 1 December 1991. It has been won the most by the two Viennese giants FK Austria Wien, Austria Wien, who were national champions 24 times, and SK Rapid Wien, Rapid Wien, who won the national title 32 times. The current champions are SK Sturm Graz. Phillip Thonhauser is president of the Austrian Bundesliga. Austria, formally the Republic of Austria, is a landlocked country in Central Europe, lying in the Eastern Alps. The Austrian football champions are the winners of the highest league of football in Austria. The championship has been contested through the Austrian Football Bundesliga since the 1974–75 season. Rapid Wien and Austria Wien are the most successful clubs. They have won 32 and 24 titles, respectively, as of 2023. The (, or , ), also known as the (, ), was the annexation of the Federal State of Austria into Nazi Germany on 12 March 1938. The idea of an (a united Austria and Germany that would form a "German Question, Greater Germany") arose after the unification of Germany, 1871 unification of Germany excluded Austria and the German Austrians from the Prussian-dominated German Empire. It gained support after the Austria-Hungary, Austro-Hungarian Empire fell in 1918. The German Federal Archives or Bundesarchiv (BArch) (, lit. "Federal Archive") are the national archives of Germany. They were established at the current location in Koblenz in 1952. Grazer AK
Grazer Athletiksport Klub (; abbreviated as GAK), better known simply as Grazer AK, is an Austrian sports club based in the city of Graz in the federal state of Styria. The football section was once among Austria's most popular clubs, enjoying success in the decade between 1995 and 2005. The other sections are basketball, diving and tennis, which however all act as separate legal entities. The "GAK" football section folded during the 2012–13 Regionalliga Mitte Season in Autumn 2012.
