Australian Cricket Team In New Zealand In 1989–90
The Australia national cricket team toured New Zealand from February to March 1990 and played a single Test match against the New Zealand national cricket team which New Zealand won. New Zealand were captained by John Wright and Australia by Allan Border. In addition, the teams took part in a Limited Overs International (LOI) tournament with the India national cricket team which Australia won. Australia National Cricket Team
The Australia men's national cricket team represents Australia in international cricket. Along with England, it is the joint oldest team in Test cricket history, playing and winning the first ever Test match in 1877; the team also plays One-Day International and Twenty20 International cricket, participating in both the first ODI, against England in the 1970–71 season and the first T20I, against New Zealand in the 2004–05 season, winning both games. Robert Stephen Dunne (born 22 April 1943) is a former New Zealand cricket umpire and a former first-class cricketer. He was the first umpire to officiate in 100 One Day International matches. Career Dunne was born at Dunedin in Otago in 1943. He is married with two sons. Before becoming an umpire, he played in one first-class match for New Zealand Under-23s in March 1966 and five first-class matches for Otago in the Plunket Shield in 1968/9 as a left-arm medium-paced bowler. He took 10 wickets at an average of 41.10. Dunne umpired 39 Test matches and 100 ODIs between 1989 and 2002. His first 12 Tests were in New Zealand. The Basin Reserve, also known as the Cello Basin Reserve for sponsorship reasons, and commonly referred to as the Basin, is a cricket ground in Wellington, New Zealand. It is used for Test cricket, Test matches, and is the main home ground of the Wellington Firebirds First-class cricket, first-class team. The Basin Reserve is the only cricket ground to have listed status with Heritage New Zealand, in recognition of being the oldest first-class cricket ground in the country. Greg Campbell (cricketer)
Gregory Dale Campbell (born 10 March 1964) is a former Australian cricketer who played in four Test matches and 12 One Day Internationals in 1989 and 1990. Campbell was a right arm fast bowler, and batted as a right-handed tail ender. He is the uncle of former Australian captain Ricky Ponting. Campbell's sister, Lorraine, is married to Graeme Ponting, and Ricky Ponting is their first child. John Bracewell
John Garry Bracewell (born 15 April 1958) is a former New Zealand cricketer who was most recently the coach of the Ireland national cricket team, Irish national team. He played 41 Test cricket, Test matches between 1980 and 1990, as well as 53 One Day Internationals. He was the second New Zealand cricketer to score 1000 runs and take 100 wickets in Test cricket. He was the coach of the New Zealand cricket team between September 2003 and November 2008. Terry Alderman
Terence Michael Alderman (born 12 June 1956) is a former Australian international cricketer who played primarily as a right-arm fast-medium bowler. He began his first-class cricket career during the 1974–75 season with Western Australia in the Sheffield Shield and came to international prominence when he was chosen for the Australian national team to tour England in 1981. He was a poor batsman, passing fifty just once in his career and averaging barely eight in first-class cricket. He had three seasons in English county cricket, playing with Kent County Cricket Club in 1984 and 1986 and with Gloucestershire County Cricket Club in 1988. In the 1981 Ashes series he took 42 Test wickets, including nine on debut, the biggest haul in a series since Jim Laker's 46 in 1956 and the fourth-highest total of all time.
