Atlantic 10 Women's Basketball Tournament
The Atlantic 10 women's basketball tournament is the conference championship tournament in women's basketball for the Atlantic 10 Conference (A-10). It is a single-elimination tournament involving all 15 league schools, and seeding is based on regular-season records with head-to-head match-up as a tie-breaker. The winner receives the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA women's basketball tournament. The top nine teams in the conference receive byes in the first round, while #12 plays #13, #11 plays #14, and #10 plays #15. The top four teams receive a "double-bye" into the quarterfinals, while #5 plays the winner of #12/#13, #6 plays the winner of #11/#14, #7 plays the winner of #10/#15, and #8 plays #9. The winners of the second-round games move on to face one of the top four seeds in the format of a normal eight-team bracket: #1 vs. #8 or #9; #2 vs. #7. #10, or #15; #3 vs #6, #11 or #14; and #4 vs #5, #12 or #13. Alumni Memorial Fieldhouse
The Michael J. Hagan Arena (previously known as the ''Alumni Memorial Fieldhouse'') of Saint Joseph's University is SJU's home court for men's and women's basketball. The new arena seats 3,800, which is 600 more than the Alumni Memorial Fieldhouse seated. A renovation begun in 2023 adds a concourse, larger offices and locker rooms, a Hall of Fame room, study rooms, basketball center, and practice facilities. 700 seats were added to the student section which puts the total at 1,700 and makes this part of the arena even more intimidating for opposing teams. UMass Minutewomen Basketball
The UMass Minutewomen basketball team represents the University of Massachusetts Amherst in Amherst, Massachusetts, in NCAA Division I women's college basketball. They play their home games in the William D. Mullins Memorial Center. The Minutewomen currently compete in the Atlantic 10 Conference. History UMass has played women's basketball since 1968. Cassell Coliseum is a multi-purpose arena in Blacksburg, Virginia, United States, that opened in 1962. It is home to the Virginia Tech Hokies men's and women's basketball teams, wrestling team, and volleyball team. It currently seats 8,925 for basketball games.
