Athletics (sport), Athletics events at the 2012 Summer Paralympics were held in the Olympic Stadium (London), Olympic Stadium and in The Mall, London, The Mall in London, United Kingdom, from 31 August to 9 September 2012. Classification Athletes were given a classification depending on the type and extent of their disability. The classification system allowed athletes to compete against others with a similar level of function. Paul Blake (athlete)
Paul John Blake (born 15 January 1990) is a British athlete who competes in T36 (classification), T36 middle-distance events. Blake competed at the 2012 Summer Paralympics where he won a silver and bronze medal in the Athletics at the 2012 Summer Paralympics – Men's 400 metres#T36, 400m T36 and Athletics at the 2012 Summer Paralympics – Men's 800 metres#T36, 800m T36 respectively. He followed this up with two gold medals at the 2013 and 2015 World Championships, both in his favoured 800m event. Charl Du Toit
Charl du Toit (born 26 March 1993) is a South African former Paralympic sprinter who competed in the T37 class. Du Toit has competed at two Summer Paralympic Games, London 2012 and Rio 2016. Madjid Djemai (born 1 September 1983) is an Algerian middle-distance runner. Career Djemai began training in track and field in 1999 and eventually qualified for the Algerian Paralympic Team. At the 2011 Pan Arab Games, Djemai earned a gold medal and later competed at the 2012 Summer Paralympics. Djemai competed in the 2013 IPC Athletics World Championships Men's 800 metres where he placed eighth. He later competed in the 2015 IPC Athletics World Championships where he finished fifth in the 800m race. Brad Scott (born 15 April 1988) is a Paralympian track and field athlete from Australia competing mainly in category T37 middle-distance events. Michael Gerard McKillop (born 27 January 1990 in Ballymena, Northern Ireland) is an Irish middle distance runner. He competes in the T37 disability sport classification, as he has a mild form of cerebral palsy.
