Djabir Saïd-Guerni
Aïssa Djabir Saïd-Guerni (, born 29 March 1977 in Algiers) is a retired Algerian athlete who predominantly competed in the 800 metres. Saïd-Guerni competed at the 2000 Summer Olympics and 2004 Summer Olympics in the 800 metres, and was also the flag bearer for Algeria at both these games. Angelo Taylor
Angelo F. Taylor (born December 29, 1978) is an American track and field athlete, winner of 400-meter hurdles at the 2000 and 2008 Summer Olympics. His personal record for the hurdles event is 47.25 seconds. His time puts him in a tie with Félix Sánchez for the #14 performer of all time. Sánchez also won two Olympic gold medals, in 2004 between Taylor's two golds and 2012, immediately following. Taylor also has a 400-meter dash best of 44.05 seconds, ranking him as the joint 29th performer of all time. He won the bronze medal in the 400 m at the 2007 World Championships in Athletics. Mark Crear
Mark James Crear (born October 2, 1968) is a double Olympic medalist in the 110 m hurdles from the United States. In 1996 he was second behind Allen Johnson. Four years later he came in third behind Anier García and silver medalist Terrence Trammell. Mark's personal best was 12.98 seconds. Crear went to Rowland High School, in the Rowland Heights area of southern California, where he finished second in the 300 meters hurdles and fourth in the 110 meters hurdles at the 1987 CIF California State Meet. He then went to the University of Southern California, where he won the 1992 National Championship in the 110 meters hurdles. He still holds the USC school record in the hurdles. Terrence Trammell
Terrence Trammell (born November 23, 1978) is a retired American track and field athlete who was the silver medalist for the 110 meter hurdles at the 2000 and 2004 Summer Olympics, and three time silver medalist for the World Championships. He was born to Leonard (Deceased)2010 and Ann Trammell in Atlanta, Georgia. The 1997 '' Track & Field News'' Male High School Athlete of the Year, he attended the University of South Carolina where he trained under Curtis Frye. His main training partner until 2002 was Olympic gold medalist Allen Johnson. He was the 1999-2000 NCAA Champion Indoors and Outdoors. Anier Octavio García Ortiz (born March 9, 1976) is a Cuban track and field athlete, winner of the 110 metres hurdles at the 2000 Summer Olympics. Born in Santiago de Cuba, Anier García established his credentials early, by winning the 1995 Pan American Junior Championships. In the next year, at the 1996 Summer Olympics, García was eliminated in the quarter-finals. In 1997, García broke to the international scene by winning 60 m hurdles at the 1997 World Indoor Championships at Paris. At the World Championships in Athens, he competed with a leg injury, and although he finished second in his quarter-final, he withdrew from the semi-finals. Assefa Mezgebu (born June 19, 1978 in Sidamo) is a retired Ethiopian long-distance runner, best known for winning a bronze medal in the 10,000 metres event at the 2000 Summer Olympics. Paul Tergat
Paul Kibii Tergat (born 17 June 1969) is a Kenyan former professional long-distance runner. He became the first Kenyan man to set the world record in the marathon in 2003, with a time of 2:04:55, and is regarded as one of the most accomplished long-distance runners of all time. Runnerworld called him the "Most comprehensive runner of all time". Towards the end of his career, he concentrated exclusively on the marathon. Brahim Lahlafi () (born 15 April 1968, in Fes) is a retired long-distance runner who represented Morocco during his active career. He acquired French citizenship on 6 April 2002, but represented Morocco again from 15 March 2007. His greatest achievement was an Olympic bronze medal in 2000. This was his first medal at a major international event, having narrowly missed the podium at the 1995 World Cross Country Championships (5th place) and twice in 5,000 metres at the World Championships, in 1995 (5th) and 1999 (fourth). Million Wolde (Amharic: ሚሊዮን ወልዴ; born March 17, 1979) is an Ethiopian athlete and winner of the 5,000 metres race at the 2000 Summer Olympics. At the age of seventeen, Million Wolde competed in the 1996 World Junior Championships in Sydney, finishing sixth in the 3,000 m steeplechase. At the next World Junior Championships, at Annecy, France in 1998, he won the 5,000 m. He also finished eighth in the Junior World Cross-Country Championships at Cape Town in 1996, gained second place at Turin in 1997 and at Marrakech, in 1998, he won his final junior championships over 8 km.
