2014 Commonwealth Games
The 2014 Commonwealth Games (), officially known as the XX Commonwealth Games and commonly known as Glasgow 2014 (; ), were an international multi-sport event celebrated in the tradition of the Commonwealth Games as governed by the Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF). It took place in Glasgow, Scotland, from 23 July to 3 August 2014. Glasgow was selected as the host city on 9 November 2007 during CGF General Assembly in Colombo, Colombo, Sri Lanka, defeating Abuja, Abuja, Nigeria. Jodie Alicia Williams (born 28 September 1993) is a retired British sprinter who specialised in the 400 metres, having begun her career concentrating on 100 and 200 metres. A prodigious junior in the shorter sprints, she is the 2009 World Youth Champion at 100 and 200 m, the 2010 World Junior Champion at 100 m, the 2011 European Junior Champion at 100 and 200 m, and the 2013 European U23 Champion at 200 m. Younis Bese (born 7 July 1996) is a Fijian rugby union player and former sprinter. Athletics career Bese won a gold medal in the 200m at the 2014 Oceania Athletics Championships in the Cook Islands. She was then runner-up to Papua New Guinea's Toea Wisil in the 100m. Bese competed at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland. She represented Fiji in the women's 100m and 200m events. Anyika Onuora (born 28 October 1984) is a British retired Sprint (running), sprint track and field athlete who competed in the 100 metres, 200 metres and 400 metres, and also the 4 × 100 metres relay and 4 × 400 metres relay.
