Enrique Carreras (6 January 1925 – 29 August 1995) was a Peruvian-born Argentina, Argentine film director, screenwriter and film producer. He was one of the most prolific film directors in the history of the cinema of Argentina and a prominent figure of the Golden Age of Argentine cinema, classical era of Argentine cinema. Biography Born in Lima, Peru, Carreras directed nearly 100 films in his 40-year career between 1951 and 1991. His 1964 film ''The Escaped'' was seen at the 14th Berlin International Film Festival.
