Ascenso MX
Ascenso MX, also known as Ascenso BBVA MX for sponsorship reasons, was a professional association football league in Mexico and the second level of the Mexican football league system. Formerly known as Primera División A de México (1994–2009) and also as Liga de Ascenso (2009–2012). The champions of the competition was promoted to Liga MX (top level), and the bottom team was relegated to Liga Premier (third level). In 2012, the league rebranded its name and competition format as Ascenso MX, the major changes (clubs do not need a FMF certification to be promoted and that the competition no longer used group stages). Ascenso MX was replaced by Liga de Expansión MX on April 17, 2020. Venados Fútbol Club Yucatán, simply known as Venados, is a Mexican professional Association football, football club based in Mérida, Yucatán, Mérida, Yucatán. Reboceros De La Piedad
Club de Fútbol La Piedad is a Mexican football club based in La Piedad, Michoacán. The club currently plays in the Liga Premier de Ascenso de Mexico in the Liga Premier. Reboceros was founded in 1951 by football players from "Perros Bravos" neighborhood, most of them were craftsman working with leather and textile. Inter De Tijuana
Club Inter de Tijuana was a Mexican football team that competed in Ascenso MX. They played in the Estadio del Cerro Colorado in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico. History The team was founded in 1989 and began in the Segunda División de México, however, team was not victorious in the 1989–90 season final against Leon which they lost 4–1 on aggregate score. Notably, the second division club defeated the visiting German champions, Bayern Munich, in January 1990 by way of penalty shootout after a strong performance by their goalkeeper Hugo Guerrero. Club de Fútbol Halcones de Querétaro was a Mexican football team that played in Primera División A and Segunda División de México and currently plays in Segunda División de Balompié Mexicano. They plays their home games in the city of Cadereyta de Montes, México. The Club Atlético Celaya was a Mexican football club from Celaya, Guanajuato. The club was formed in 1994 when the two second-division clubs Atletico Cuernavaca (Morelos) and Escuadra Celeste de Celaya (Guanajuato) merged. Guerreros de Acapulco were a Mexican football club that played in the Segunda División Profesional. The club was based in Acapulco de Juarez, Guerrero. History In 1987, Guerreros de Acapulco purchased the franchise from Iguala FC, permitting them to play in the third-tier Segunda División 'B' for the 1987–88 season. In 1990, they achieved promotion to Segunda División 'A' as runners-up in the championship phase. They only lasted one year in the second tier before being relegated.
