Arnold Strongman Classic
The Arnold Strongman Classic is an annual competition featuring strength athletes from all over the world, determining who is the Strongest Man in the World. Created by Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jim Lorimer and Terry Todd, it is an offshoot of the Arnold Sports Festival which takes place annually in Columbus, Ohio, USA. Widely regarded as the heaviest and the most difficult strongman competition in the world the Arnold Strongman Classic has been won by only 9 men in history. Among them, the Lithuanian Žydrūnas Savickas has won it 8 times, while the American Brian Shaw, the Icelander Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson and the Canadian Mitchell Hooper have won it 3 times each. Van Hatfield (born September 13, 1971) is an American professional strongman competitor and powerlifter from Mapleton, Utah. Van won America's Strongest Man in 2004, his career best win. Van came in 2nd at the IFSA Strongman World Team Championships in 2005 with team Pan-America with teammates Travis Ortmayer, Geoff Dolan and Jon Andersen. Hugo Girard
Hugo Girard (born December 20, 1971) is a Canadian former strongman. He is a Strongman Super Series world Champion, a four-time World Muscle Power champion and a six-time Canada's Strongest Man. With 15 international competition wins, he's the ninth most decorated strongman in history. Strength career Prior to his career as a strongman competitor, Girard worked as a bouncer in a popular Quebec City nightclub on weekends while attending community college. In the early 1990s, he went to Los Angeles in order to either pursue a career as a professional bodybuilder or as an actor. Brian Siders
Brian Cameron Siders (born September 11, 1978) is an American world champion powerlifter and regular participant in the Arnold Strongman Classic. Brian is regarded as one of the strongest men to ever walk the planet, especially in press-movements. Career Brian started lifting in high school, mainly just training the bench press and upper body. Brian started focusing on squatting and deadlifting in the winter of 1997, and started doing full powerlifting meets in 1998. Brian trains 6–7 days per week and up to 4 hours at a time at his gym he built at his home. Magnus Samuelsson
Magnus Samuelsson (born December 21, 1969), is a Sweden, Swedish actor, former Strongman and the 1998 World's Strongest Man. Known as the 'king of the stones', he made it to the World's Strongest Man podium 5 times and the finals 10 times. The son of a former Swedish arm wrestling champion, he has also been ranked among the best arm wrestlers in Europe during early to mid 90's with a second place in 1993 as his best performance. Vasyl Yaroslavovych Virastyuk (; born 22 April 1974) is a Ukrainian politician and former strongman competitor. He is a brother of Roman Virastyuk. Virastyuk was the winner of World's Strongest Man 2004. In a 28 March 2021 parliamentary by-election, Virastyuk was a candidate for Servant of the People. Mark Philippi (born March 21, 1963) is an American world champion powerlifter and strongman competitor who currently serves as the assistant strength and conditioning coach for the Chicago Bears of the National Football League (NFL). Philippi is a multiple entrant to the World's Strongest Man competition, and former holder of the America's Strongest Man title. Thomas Inch (27 December 1881 – 12 December 1963) was a British Strongman, who held the titles of Britain's Strongest Youth, Britain's Strong Man and the originator of the Thomas Inch dumbbell challenge. Early life Inch was born on 27 December 1881 in Scarborough, a seaside town on the North Yorkshire coast in the U.K. He became interested in bodybuilding and strength as a young boy, bodybuilding through manual labour. Total Raimonds Bergmanis (born 25 July 1966) is a Latvian politician and former List of Ministers of Defence of Latvia, Minister of Defence.
