Arnold II is a Count of Boulogne identified by Morton and Muntz (page xxxi note 7) as the one slain in battle by Count Enguerrand I of Ponthieu. Frank Barlow (page xliii note 125) prefers to retain the traditional identification of the slain count as Baldwin I of Boulogne. However, he admits that the identification is "uncertain." In any case, the widow (Adelvie?) of Baldwin / Arnold then married Count Enguerrand I. Arnold II (or Arnulf, Arnoul) (died 1146), Count of Loon, son of Arnold I, Count of Loon, and Agnes von Mainz, daughter of Gerhard I, Count of Rieneck, and Helwig von Bliescastel. He is distinguished from his father of the same name by historians who note records for counts named Arnold or Arnulf between 1179 and 1141. The first Arnold must have died between 1125 when Count Arnold appears in a record with his son also named Arnold, and 1135, when a new Count Arnold appears with his own son and successor Louis. Between these two dates, in 1129, Gislebert, Count of Duras, sought to seize the property of the Abbey of Sint-Truiden. Arnold (II) from the kindred Hahót (; died after 1244) was a Hungarian baron, who served as Palatine of Hungary for a short time in 1242. Career Arnold II was born into the ''gens'' Hahót as one of the three sons of Arnold I, who founded a monastery in Hahót, Zala County, dedicated to Saint Margaret. Arnold had two brothers, Panyit, who became infamous for his violent actions and plunderings against neighboring estates in the 1250s and 60s, and Keled I, the ancestor of the Hahóti noble family. Arnold II Of Horne
Arnold II of Horne (died 8 March 1389) served as Prince and Bishop of Liège from 1378 until his death in 1389. He had previously served as Bishop of Utrecht from 1371 to 1378. Arnold was the son of Willem IV of Horne and Elisabeth of Cleves. Biography After the death of bishop Jan van Virneburg in 1371, the cathedral chapter nominated its provost Zweder Uterlo as candidate for the bishopric, but the rest of the chapters supported the papal candidate Arnold van Horne, who as a result become bishop. Arnold seems to have been a forceful bishop, though he endangered the financial state of the bishopric.
