Ariège (; ) is a Departments of France, department in southwestern France, located in the regions of France, region of Occitania (administrative region), Occitanie. La France Insoumise
La France Insoumise (LFI or FI; , ) is a left-wing political party in France. It was launched in 2016 by Jean-Luc Mélenchon, then a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) and former co-president of the Left Party (PG). It aims to implement the eco-socialist and democratic socialist programme (). The party utilises the lower case Greek letter phi as its logotype. The party nominated Mélenchon as its candidate for the 2017 French presidential election. Michel Larive (born 22 August 1966) is a French politician representing la France Insoumise. He was deputy for Ariège's 2nd constituency from 2017 to 2022. In the 2022 French legislative election, he was the only La France Insoumise MP to lose his seat. He lost it to dissident candidate Socialist Party candidate Laurent Panifous. Legislative elections were held in France on 10 June and 17 June 2007 to elect the 13th National Assembly of the Fifth Republic, a few weeks after the presidential election run-off on 6 May. 7,639 candidates stood for 577 seats, including France's overseas possessions. 1997 French Legislative Election
Legislative elections were held in France on 25 May and 1 June 1997 to elect the 11th National Assembly (France), National Assembly of the French Fifth Republic. It was the consequence of President Jacques Chirac's decision to call the legislative election one year before the deadline. In March 1993 the right won a large victory in 1993 French legislative election, the legislative election and a comfortable parliamentary majority. Two years later, the Rally for the Republic, RPR leader Jacques Chirac was elected President of France promising to reduce the "social fracture".
