Arizona's 30th legislative district is one of 30 in the state, consisting of all of La Paz County and sections of Maricopa County, Mohave County, and Yavapai County. As of 2023, there are 38 precincts in the district, with a total registered voter population of 157,848. The district has an overall population of 237,999. Following the 2020 United States redistricting cycle, the Redistricting in Arizona, Arizona Independent Redistricting Commission (AIRC) redrew legislative district boundaries in Arizona. According to the AIRC, the district is outside of competitive range and considered leaning Republican. Sonny Borrelli
Sonny Borrelli is an American politician and a Republican member of the Arizona Senate, representing the 30th district. He is the Senate Majority Leader. Borrelli formerly served in the Arizona House of Representatives as a representative of District 5, from January 14, 2013, to January 9, 2017. Early life and career Borrelli was a U.S. Marine from 1977 to 1999. He moved to Arizona in 2000 and was a member of the Lake Havasu City Council from 2010 to 2012. Political career In the Arizona House of Representatives, Borrelli was chair of the Military Affairs and Public Safety Committee. Stanley Frederick "Stan" Turley (February 27, 1921 – April 26, 2014) was an American politician and businessman. Born in Snowflake, Arizona, Turley went to Brigham Young University, He then served in the United States Army during World War II. He was a farmer and was in banking and real estate. Turley served in the Arizona House of Representatives from 1964 to 1972 as a Republican and was the Speaker of the Arizona House of Representatives.
