Ardboe O'Donnovan Rossa GAC
Ardboe O'Donovan Rossa GAC () is a club based in east County Tyrone, Northern Ireland, close to the shores of Lough Neagh. The club was formed in 1947 but Gaelic games had existed under different banners from the early 20th century. The club has won a total of seven Tyrone Senior Football Championships, the last in 1998 when they defeated Omagh. Michael Coney Park Michael Coney Park is the home ground of Ardboe O'Donovan Rossa GAC, situated on the Kilmascally road near to the main parish centre. In the 1970s the club constructed the main pavilion building and the surrounding facilities. In the following years new fencing was erected and a new covered stand and terracing to further improve the club's grounds. In recent years the club purchased a new training field near the current playing field. Lough Neagh
Lough Neagh ( ; ) is a freshwater lake in Northern Ireland and is the largest lake on the island of Ireland and in the British Isles. It has a surface area of and is about long and wide. According to Northern Ireland Water, it supplies 40.7% of Northern Ireland's drinking water. Its main inflows are the Upper River Bann and Blackwater, and its main outflow is the Lower Bann. The Tyrone Senior Football Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the ''Connollys of Moy'' ''Tyrone Senior Football Championship'') is an annual Gaelic football competition contested by top-tier Tyrone GAA clubs. The Tyrone County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association has organised it since 1904. In 2022, the ''Irish Independent'' said of the Tyrone SFC: "Tyrone can rightly lay claim to the most competitive senior football championship of them all just by the range of different winners it has produced over the last decade". Omagh St Enda's GAA
Omagh St Enda's is a Gaelic Athletic Association club from Omagh, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. Conor Sally is club chairman. History GAA clubs existed in Drumragh parish during 1904-09 (including hurling and camogie), 1917–20 and intermittently in the 1920s. However it wasn't until 1932 when the Omagh St Enda's club was founded. The club's first meeting took place on 28 February in St Patrick's Hall opposite the Sacred Heart Church. Omagh contested the Tyrone Senior Football Championship final on four occasions before eventually winning the cup for the first time in 1948, beating Clogher Éire Óg GAC 1–3 to 0–2. The Tyrone Intermediate Football Club Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the Connollys of Moy Tyrone Intermediate Football Club Championship) is an annual Gaelic football competition contested by mid-tier Tyrone GAA clubs. Derrylaughan are the title holders (2024) defeating Moy in the final. History The tournament was first held in 1962, with Cookstown the first champions defeating Galbally in the final. The semi-final of the 2021 Tyrone Intermediate Football Championship was abandoned after eight minutes and an Air Ambulance had to land on the pitch at Healy Park to care for the injured. Brian McGuigan
Brian McGuigan (born 3 January 1980) is a former Irish Gaelic footballer who played for the Ardboe O'Donnovan Rossa club and the Tyrone county team. He won an All Star Award and three All-Ireland medals in 2003 (when he won his All Star), 2005, and 2008. Early life and family McGuigan's father Frank also played for Tyrone, but the younger McGuigan's achievements surpassed those of his father. Playing career At underage level, McGuigan was part of the team that captured All-Ireland gold in 1998 in the Minor championship, and back-to-back triumphs in the Under 21 championships in 2000 and 2001. Kyle Coney
Kyle Coney (born 1990) is a Gaelic footballer for the Ardboe O'Donovan Rossa club and the Tyrone county team. He won an All-Ireland Minor Football Championship medal with Tyrone in 2008, also winning Ulster Minor Championships with the county in 2007 and 2008. Frank McGuigan
Frank McGuigan is a former Gaelic footballer who played for the Ardboe O'Donnovan Rossa club and the Tyrone county team. Despite his playing career being cut short by a car crash, which broke his leg, he is considered a legend in Tyrone football, alongside players such as Frankie Donnelly and Peter Canavan. He was known for his scoring ability, clocking up dozens of scores during his senior career, most of them from open play. His son Brian later played for Tyrone. Underage level In 1971, he was part of the Tyrone minor (under 18) team that defeated Fermanagh in the Ulster minor final. Fay "The Ogg" Devlin (born 1970/1971) is a former Gaelic footballer for the Ardboe club and the Tyrone county team. Tommy McGuigan
Tommy McGuigan is a former Gaelic footballer who played for the Ardboe O'Donnovan Rossa club and the Tyrone county team. He made his Ulster Championship debut for Tyrone on 20 May 2007, against Fermanagh. Family McGuigan's father Frank won several club and inter-county titles (and an All-Star) and his older brother Brian won three All-Ireland Senior Football Championships while playing for Tyrone. In 2008, Tommy and Brian McGuigan picked up All-Ireland SFC winning medals and their older brother Frank also has an All-Ireland medal to his name as a result of being on the 2003 panel. Youngest brother Shay McGuigan was also a member of the Tyrone All-Ireland winning minor panel of 2008 and is in his second year playing for the Tyrone minors.
