	Archery At The 2008 Summer Paralympics – Men's Individual Recurve The Men's individual recurve was one of the events held in archery at the 2008 Summer Paralympics in Beijing. There were two classes: a class for W1 & W2 wheelchair competitors and a class for standing archers. In the ranking round each archer shot 72 arrows; in the knockout stages each match was 12 arrows each. W1/W2 The W1/W2 class was won by Cheng Changjie, representing , while Italy's Marco Vitale won the silver. 	Archery At The 2008 Summer Paralympics Archery at the 2008 Summer Paralympics consists of nine events, five for men and four for women. The competitions were held at the Olympic Green Archery Field from September 9 to September 15, 2008. Classification Archers are given a classification depending on the type and extent of their disability. The classification system allows archers to compete against others with a similar level of function. 	Paul James Browne Paul James Browne (born 11 April 1961) is an English competitive archer. Browne has competed in two Summer Paralympic Games. Personal life Browne, who was born with the joint disease arthrogryposis, requires the use of a wheelchair to compete. Without the assistance of sticks, he is unable to walk. He holds a BTEC qualification in Business Studies and Finance. Archery Due to his disability, Browne competes in the W2 classification. He is a member of the Hertford Company of Archers.
