Andalucía Rally
The Andalucía Rally was a rally raid held in Andalucia, Spain, from 2020 to 2022. The event was part of the World Rally-Raid Championship in 2021 and 2022. The race was introduced in 2020 as a replacement for the Rallye du Maroc, which was cancelled for that year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Organized by ASO and the ODC company, represented by David Castera, it was intended as a shakedown for the Dakar Rally The Dakar Rally () or simply "The Dakar" (), formerly known as the Paris–Dakar Rally (), is an annual rally raid organised by the Amaury Sport Organisation (ASO). Rally Raid
Rally raid is a type of off-road motorsport event competed with different types of vehicles. Along with shorter Baja (cross-country rally), baja rallies, rally raid constitutes cross-country rallying. Both the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) and Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) co-organise a common World Rally-Raid Championship featuring the same events and types of vehicles. The length of a rally raid can be as short as 2–3 days to as long as 15 days with marathon rally raids like the Dakar Rally. With skill in navigation being key, the driving skill and endurance of riders, drivers, co-drivers, and machines are put to the test. The total distance covered can be between 600 km to over 5,000 km with terrain ranging from sandy dunes, forest roads, mountain roads, and dry river beds; among others. Toyota Hilux Overdrive
The Toyota Hilux Dakar is an off-road competition car based on the Hilux. It has won the FIA World Cup for Cross-Country Rallies in 2016, 2017 and 2021, the Dakar Rally in 2019, 2022, 2023 and 2025, and the World Rally-Raid Championship in 2022 and 2023. Since 2016, Toyota Gazoo Racing and its regional subsidiaries field the Toyota GR DKR Hilux model, which is produced by SVR Hallspeed in South Africa; prior to that, the car was mainly used by private installations Imperial and Overdrive Racing. TGR's international rally division introduced an upgraded Hilux, the Toyota GR DKR Hilux EVO T1U, in 2024. Overdrive Racing prepares its own model separate from TGR dubbed the Toyota Hilux Overdrive. Adrien Van Beveren (born 4 January 1991) is a French motocross and rally raid rider. Winner of the ''Enduropale du Touquet'' in 2014, 2015 and 2016, he is the first driver to win three consecutive titles since Eric Geboers in 1990. Joan Barreda Bort (born 11 August 1983 in Castellón de la Plana) is a Spanish rally raid motorcycle rider, best known for his participation in the Dakar Rally. Career Barreda Bort made his Dakar debut in 2011, riding an Aprilia, but was forced to retire during the second stage of the event due to a fall. Switching to Husqvarna machinery for 2012, Barreda Bort had a promising start - finishing third during the second stage of the rally - before losing significant time to mechanical problems. Nonetheless, he continued to show strong pace for the remainder of the rally, winning the tenth stage, and ultimately finished in 11th overall, three hours and 37 minutes down on the winning time of Cyril Despres.
