Amin Ahmed Chowdhury
Amin Ahmed Chowdhury was a Bangladeshi army officer and diplomat. Early life Chowdhury was born in South Anandpur village of Fulghazi in Feni. He joined Pakistan Army in 1964 and was commissioned in 1966. When the Liberation War of Bangladesh started he join Bangladesh Army in 1971 and took part the war under Z Force and was seriously injured in the combat. After the Pakistan Army surrendered, He was honored as Bir Bikrom, which is the third highest gallantry award in Bangladesh. After military retirement Chowdhury held various coveted posts in the government. He was appointed as managing director of Trust for the Welfare of Freedom Fighter, chairman of Bangladesh Tea Board, chairman of Retired Armed Forces Officers Welfare Organization (RAOWA), etc. Amin also played as pivotal and pioneering role in raising local fund from Bangladeshi expatriates from all walks of life, arranging grants and loans from the Government of Bangladesh and obtaining approvals from governments of Oman ... Feni District
Feni is a district located in southeastern Bangladesh. It was a part of the Greater Noakhali, Comilla, Chittagong and Tripura. , the district's estimated population stood at 1,437,371, making it the ninth-most populous district in Chittagong Division. The Liberation War Museum ( bn, মুক্তিযুদ্ধ জাদুঘর ''Muktijuddho Jadughôr'') is a museum at Agargaon in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, which commemorates the Bangladesh Liberation War that led to the independence of Bangladesh from Pakistan. History The Liberation War Museum began under the initiative of an eight-person board of trustees as a means of preserving the memory of the 1971 Liberation War. The trustees sought donations from the general public to fund the museum and for the general public to come forward with artifacts to be displayed artifacts from the war, including personal belongings, weapons and human remains, as well as creating an archive of documents and personal histories related to the war.
