Alwayz Into Somethin'
"Alwayz Into Somethin" is a song by American hip hop group N.W.A, performed by Dr. Dre and MC Ren featuring Admiral D. It is the lead single (music), single from their second and final studio album, ''Niggaz4Life''. The song also appeared on the ''Greatest Hits (N.W.A), N.W.A's Greatest Hits'' album and ''The Best of N.W.A: The Strength of Street Knowledge''. History The song is an early example of G-funk produced by Dr. Dre. His commercially successful solo debut, ''The Chronic'', further developed the subgenre with beats, samples, and instrumentation similar to the one used in "Alwayz into Somethin'. The song was featured in ''Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas'', on the West Coast gangsta rap station, Radio Los Santos. In a part of the lyrics, MC Ren disses Ice Cube in the line, "Dre I was speakin' to your bitch O'Shea", referring to Ice Cube leaving the group over royalty disputes. Music video In the music video, N.W.A's members are shown shoplifting, stealing cars, shooting at riv ...

Niggaz4Life
''Niggaz4Life'' (also known as ''Efil4zaggin'' per its mirrored title as seen on the cover) is the second and final studio album by American hip-hop group N.W.A, released on May 28, 1991. It was their final album, as the group disbanded later the same year after the departure of Dr. Dre and songwriter and unofficial member of the group The D.O.C. who both left to form Death Row Records; the album features only four members of the original line-up, as Arabian Prince and Ice Cube had already left the group in 1988 and 1989 respectively. ''Niggaz4Life'' debuted at number 2 on the ''Billboard'' 200, but in its second week peaked at number 1. In 1992, several months after the release of the album, N.W.A released a video named ''Niggaz4Life: The Only Home Video'', which chronicled the making of the album and its three music videos, " Alwayz into Somethin'", " Appetite for Destruction" and "Approach to Danger". In 2002, the CD was re-released in two formats. Both had the EP '' 10 ...

The Chronic
''The Chronic'' is the debut studio album by American rapper and producer Dr. Dre. It was released on December 15, 1992, by his record label Death Row Records along with Interscope Records and distributed by Priority Records. The recording sessions took place at Death Row Studios in Los Angeles and at Bernie Grundman Mastering in Hollywood. ''The Chronic'' was Dr. Dre's first solo album after he departed the West Coast hip hop group N.W.A and its label Ruthless Records over a financial dispute. It includes insults towards Ruthless Records and its owner, former N.W.A member and assembler Eazy-E. It features many appearances by then-emerging American rapper Snoop Doggy Dogg, who used the album as a launch pad for boosting his solo career. The album's title derives from a slang term for high-grade cannabis, and its cover is a homage to Zig-Zag rolling papers. In 2023, to celebrate its 30th anniversary, the album was reissued by Dr. Dre's current label Aftermath Entertainmen ...

Songs Written By MC Ren
A song is a musical composition performed by the human voice. The voice often carries the melody (a series of distinct and fixed pitches) using patterns of sound and silence. Songs have a structure, such as the common ABA form, and are usually made of sections that are repeated or performed with variation later. A song without instruments is said to be a cappella. Written words created specifically for music, or for which music is specifically created, are called lyrics. If a pre-existing poem is set to composed music in the classical tradition, it is called an art song. Songs that are sung on repeated pitches without distinct contours and patterns that rise and fall are called chants. Songs composed in a simple style that are learned informally by ear are often referred to as folk songs. Songs composed for the mass market, designed to be sung by professional singers who sell their recordings or live shows, are called popular songs. These songs, which have broad appeal, are of ...

G-funk Songs
G-funk, short for gangsta funk, (or funk rap) is a sub-genre of gangsta rap that emerged from the West Coast scene in the early 1990s. The genre is heavily influenced by the synthesizer-heavy 1970s funk sound of Parliament-Funkadelic (aka P-Funk), often incorporated through samples or re-recordings. It is represented by commercially successful albums such as Dr. Dre's ''The Chronic'' (1992), Snoop Dogg's ''Doggystyle'' (1993), and 2Pac's '' All Eyez on Me'' (1996). Characteristics G-funk, which uses funk with an artificially altered tempo, incorporates multi-layered and melodic synthesizers, slow hypnotic grooves, a deep bass, heavy use of the snare drum, background female vocals, the extensive sampling of P-Funk tunes, and a high-pitched portamento saw wave synthesizer lead. G-funk is typically set at between 90 and 100 BPM. The lyrical content depended on the artist; it could consist of sex, drug use (especially marijuana), love for a city, and love for friends. There was als ...

1991 Songs
It was the final year of the Cold War, which had begun in 1947. During the year, the Soviet Union collapsed, leaving fifteen sovereign republics and the CIS in its place. In July 1991, India abandoned its policies of dirigism, license raj and autarky and began extensive liberalisation to its economy. This increased GDP but also increased income inequality over the next two decades. A UN-authorized coalition force from 34 nations fought against Iraq, which had invaded and annexed Kuwait in the previous year, 1990. The conflict would be called the Gulf War and would mark the beginning of a since-constant American military presence in the Middle East. The clash between Serbia and the other Yugoslav republics would lead into the beginning of the Yugoslav Wars, which ran through the rest of the decade. In the context of the apartheid, the year after the liberation of political prisoner Nelson Mandela, the Parliament of South Africa repeals the Population Registration ...

Gang Violence
A gang is a group or society of associates, friends, or members of a family with a defined leadership and internal organization that identifies with or claims control over territory in a community and engages, either individually or collectively, in illegal, and possibly violent, behavior, with such behavior often constituting a form of organized crime. Etymology The word ''gang'' derives from the past participle of Old English , meaning . It is cognate with Old Norse , meaning . While the term often refers specifically to criminal groups, it also has a broader meaning of any close or organized group of people, and may have neutral, positive or negative connotations depending on usage. History In discussing the banditry in American history, Barrington Moore, Jr. suggests that gangsterism as a "form of self-help which victimizes others" may appear in societies which lack strong "forces of law and order"; he characterizes European feudalism as "mainly gangsterism that ha ...
