Alfonso Ugarte De Puno
Club Deportivo Alfonso Ugarte is a Peruvian association football club, based in the city of Puno. The club is the biggest in the city of Puno. It was founded in 1928 and play in the Peruvian Segunda Division which is the second division of the Peruvian league. History The club have played at the highest level of Peruvian football on eighteen occasions, from 1974 Torneo Descentralizado until 1991 Torneo Descentralizado when it was relegated. In the 1999 Copa Perú, the club qualified to the National Stage, but was eliminated by Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego of Trujillo in the finals. In the 2001 Copa Perú, the club qualified to the National Stage, but was eliminated by Deportivo Bolito of Tacna in the quarterfinals. The club have played at the Peruvian Segunda División on two occasions, from 2006 until 2007 when it was relegated. 1987 Torneo Descentralizado
The 1987 Torneo Descentralizado, the top tier of Peruvian football (soccer), was played by 30 teams. The season started in 1987 and ended in early 1988. The national champion was Universitario . The national championship was divided into two tournaments, the Regional Tournament and the Descentralized Tournament. The winners of each tournament faced off in the final and received the berths for the Copa Libertadores 1988. The Regional Tournament divided the teams into four groups; Metropolitan, North, Central, and South. List Of Peruvian Football Champions
The Peruvian football champions are the winners of the highest league in Peruvian football, which is currently named as Peruvian Primera División, Liga 1 and organized by Peruvian Football Federation. The Liga Peruana de Football was established in 1912. It was an amateur league that lasted until 1921 due to scheduling and organizing conflicts. In this league only teams from Lima participated. In 1926, the Peruvian Football Federation took control of organizing the tournament and continued the Peruvian Primera División with the introduction of teams from Callao. 1975 Torneo Descentralizado
The 1975 season of the Torneo Descentralizado, the top category of Peruvian football, was played by 18 teams. The top six qualified to the final group stage. As the First Division was reduced to 16 teams for 1976, no team was promoted and two teams were relegated. The criteria for relegation: Grau as the last placed team; Unión Tumán as the worst team from a Department (Lambayeque) with two teams (the other was Juan Aurich). This rule didn't apply for Lima clubs. A playoff match for 2nd place (qualifying for the Copa Libertadores) was necessary. The national champions were Alianza Lima. The Peru First Division (; known simply as ''First Division'', and Liga 1 Te Apuesto for sponsorship reasons), officially known as Liga 1, is the top flight of association football in Peru. It has been referred to as Torneo Descentralizado since 1966 until 2019, when the first teams residing outside the Lima Province, Lima and Callao provinces were invited to compete in the 1912 Liga Peruana de Football, inaugural league national competition.
