Alex Scott (footballer, Born 1936)
Alexander Silcock Scott (22 November 1936 – 13 September 2001) was a Scottish footballer who played as a right winger. Club career Born in Falkirk, Scott started his senior career at Rangers, whom he joined aged 16 in 1954 from Bo'ness United. He scored a hat-trick in his debut against Falkirk at Ibrox while just 19 years old. In nine years with the club he scored 108 goals in 331 matches and won four league titles, one Scottish Cup and two League Cups. He was also part of the Rangers side defeated by Fiorentina in the 1961 UEFA Cup Winners' Cup Final, scoring the Gers' only goal. With Rangers signing Willie Henderson, he moved to Everton in February 1963 for £39,000 and helped them win the Division One title two months later and then the 1963 FA Charity Shield. Scottish League Cup
The Scottish League Cup, also known as the Premier Sports Cup for sponsorship reasons, is a football competition open to all Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL) clubs. First held in 1946–47, it is the oldest national League cup in existence. The competition had a straight knockout format but became a group and knockout competition from 2016–17. 1958 FIFA World Cup
The 1958 FIFA World Cup was the 6th FIFA World Cup, a quadrennial football tournament for men's senior national teams. It was played in Sweden from 8 to 29 June 1958. It was the first and only FIFA World Cup to be played in a Nordic country. Brazil beat Sweden 5–2 in the final in Solna, Stockholm, to claim their first title, having beaten France in the semi-final and Wales in the quarter-final. The tournament also marked the arrival of a then 17-year-old Pelé on the world stage, who scored in all three of Brazil's knockout games. This was the first appearance of Wales at the FIFA World Cup. Jim Scott (footballer)
James Scott (born 21 August 1940 in Falkirk) is a retired footballer who won one cap for Scotland and played for Hibernian, Newcastle United, Crystal Palace, Falkirk and Hamilton Academical. Scott was part of the Newcastle team that won the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup in 1969, scoring one of the goals as Newcastle won the first leg 3-0. 1966 FA Cup Final
The 1966 FA Cup final was a football match played on 14 May 1966. It was contested by Everton and Sheffield Wednesday at Wembley. Everton were the first team since Bury in 1903 to reach an FA Cup Final without conceding a goal, while Sheffield Wednesday reached the final having played every round away. Everton came back from 2–0 down to win 3–2 with goals by Mike Trebilcock (2) and Derek Temple. Jim McCalliog and David Ford scored the Owls' goals. Temple's winner came after an unfortunate slip by Gerry Young, when the ball squirmed under his foot, and Temple was able to run clear and slot the ball past goalkeeper Ron Springett into the corner. Everton became only the second side, after Blackpool in 1953, to come from two goals behind to win the cup without needing extra time, a feat which has not been repeated since. The 1963 FA Charity Shield was the 41st FA Charity Shield, an annual football match held between the winners of the previous season's Football League and FA Cup competitions. Willie Henderson
William Henderson (born 24 January 1944) is a Scottish retired footballer. He played most of his career for Rangers, and spent the latter part of his career with Sheffield Wednesday, in Hong Kong with Hong Kong Rangers and with Airdrieonians. He also featured at international level for Scotland. Henderson made his career debut in 1960 at the age of 16. He was a very pacy right-winger, and as he was only 5 feet 4 inches tall he became known as ''Wee Willie''.
