Alex Forsyth (footballer, Born 1928)
Alexander Simpson Hutchinson Forsyth (29 September 1928 – 30 March 2020) was a Scottish footballer who played in the Scottish Football League for Albion Rovers and East Stirlingshire and in the English Football League for Darlington in the 1950s. He also played junior football for Linlithgow Rose. After retiring as a player because of injury, he went on to work as chief scout for East Stirlingshire, and later became a director of the club. Scottish Junior Football Association
The Scottish Junior Football Association (SJFA) is an affiliated national association of the Scottish Football Association and is the governing body for the junior grade of football (soccer), football in Scotland. The term "junior" refers to the level of football played, not the age of the players. The closest equivalent terminology would be non-League football in England, the difference being that junior football in Scotland was not similarly integrated into its Scottish football league system, football league system until 2021. Linlithgow Rose
Linlithgow Rose Football Club are a Scottish football club based in Linlithgow, West Lothian. The team plays in the East of Scotland Football League Premier Division, the sixth tier of Scottish football, having moved from the junior leagues in 2018. With playing colours of maroon and white, Linlithgow Rose have won the Scottish Junior Cup four times, in 1965, 2002, 2007 and 2010. Linlithgow also finished as runners-up in 1974, 2003 and 2013. The Scottish Football League (SFL) was a league featuring professional and semi-professional football clubs mostly from Scotland.One club, Berwick Rangers, is based in the town of Berwick-upon-Tweed, which is located approximately 4 km south of the Anglo-Scottish border.
