Alejandro González (Uruguayan Footballer)
Alejandro Damián González Hernández (born 23 March 1988) is a Uruguayan footballer who plays as a right back for Miramar Misiones. He has spent most of his career with Peñarol in his native Uruguay, as well as teams in Mexico, Peru, and Italy. Club career González started his career in 2005 playing for Peñarol. In 2008, he was champion of the Uruguayan Torneo Clausura playing for Peñarol. He was than loaned out to Tigres B in Mexico, that same year he played for Tacuarembó F.C. He joined Sporting Cristal in the Primera Division Peruana in January 2009. On 28 June 2013, he joined Hellas Verona, who had just returned to Serie A, for an undisclosed fee. On 8 January 2015, he was loaned to struggling fellow Serie A club Cagliari for the remainder of the season, the first signing by new manager Gianfranco Zola. Peñarol
Club Atlético Peñarol (), more commonly referred to as Peñarol, is a Uruguayan professional football club based in Montevideo. The club currently competes in the Uruguayan Primera División, the highest tier in Uruguayan football. The name of the club comes from the neighborhood on the outskirts of Montevideo, which itself takes its name from Pinerolo, a town in the metropolitan area of Turin, in the Italian region of Piedmont. 2007 South American Youth Championship
The 2007 South American Youth Championship (Sudamericano Sub-20) was the 23rd edition of the competition. It was played in Paraguay between 7 and 28 January 2007, and was contested by all ten U-20 national football teams of CONMEBOL. This was the fourth time Paraguay hosted the competition. Brazil finished undefeated and won their ninth title, beating rivals Argentina in the final. Format The teams are separated in two groups of five, and each team plays four matches in a pure round-robin stage. The three top competitors advance to a single final group of six, wherein each team plays five matches. The 2005 FIFA U-17 World Championship, the eleventh edition of the tournament, was held in the cities of Lima, Trujillo, Chiclayo, Piura and Iquitos in Peru from 16 September to 2 October 2005. South American Under 17 Football Championship
The South American U-17 Championship (; ), branded as CONMEBOL Sub 17, is a football competition held every two years for South American under-17 teams. The tournament was born in 1985 out of a need for a classification tournament for the newly created FIFA U-16 World Cup (now the FIFA U-17 World Cup). For the first three editions (1985, 1986, and 1988), the competition was limited to under-16 teams. Afterwards, the age limit was raised one year. The tournament is held every two years.
