Albie O'Connell
Albie O'Connell is an American ice hockey coach, scout, and former player. He is known for being the head coach of Boston University from 2018 to 2022. O'Connell also captained the Terriers as a senior. During his tenure, the team won four Beanpots, three regular season titles, and made two Frozen Four appearances. He coached at several schools as an assistant before being named head coach of Boston University. He would coach the team for four seasons to a record of 58-49-16 and a single Beanpot. Since leaving the team in 2022, he has worked as a scout and an assistant coach. Career Player A Watertown native, Albie O'Connell joined the program at Boston University on the heels of their fourth National Championship. He scored 17 points his first season, but BU would be downed by eventual champion Michigan in the Frozen Four. Arizona State Sun Devils Men's Ice Hockey
The Arizona State Sun Devils men's ice hockey team is the college ice hockey team that represents Arizona State University. It plays its home games at Mullett Arena in Tempe. The Sun Devils initially competed in the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA). ECHL
The ECHL (formerly the East Coast Hockey League) is a mid-level professional ice hockey league based in Shrewsbury, New Jersey, with teams scattered across the United States and Canada. The British National League (BNL) was the second tier of the professional ice hockey league in the United Kingdom between 1996 and 2005. In ice hockey, the captain is the player designated by a team as the only person authorized to speak with the game officials regarding rule interpretations when the captain is on the ice. At most levels of play each team must designate one captain and a number of alternate captains (usually two or three) who speak to the officials when the captain is on the bench. Captains wear a "C" on their sweaters, while alternate captains wear an "A". Hockey East
The Hockey East Association, also known as Hockey East, is a college ice hockey conference which operates entirely in New England. It participates in the NCAA's Division I as a hockey-only conference.
