Alan Brian Levine (born May 22, 1968) is an American former Major League Baseball relief pitcher who pitched 234 games in the minor leagues, and 416 games in the major leagues. Early life and career Levine, who is Jewish, was born in Park Ridge, Illinois, and graduated from Hoffman Estates High School, attended and played for Harper Junior College, and graduated from Southern Illinois University. In , Levine walked onto the SIU team as a pitcher. Baseball career The Chicago White Sox drafted him in the 11th round of the 1991 draft. The Southern Illinois Salukis are the varsity athletic teams representing Southern Illinois University Carbondale. The nickname comes from the Saluki, the Royal Dog of Egypt and the Persian greyhound, which ties into the fact that southern Illinois has had the nickname " Little Egypt" for just under 200 years. Romar Benjamín Gil Aguilar (born October 6, 1972) is a Mexican former professional baseball infielder and coach. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Texas Rangers and the Anaheim Angels with whom he won the 2002 World Series. He was the infield coach for the Los Angeles Angels. Larry Wayne Thomas Jr. (born October 25, 1969) is an American retired professional baseball pitcher. During his three seasons in the major leagues (1995–1997), he played for the Chicago White Sox.
