Adrianus Voorting
Adrianus ("Adri" or "Adrie") Voorting (15 February 1931 – 1 August 1961) was a road bicycle and track cyclist from the Netherlands, who represented his native country at the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki, Finland. There he was eliminated in the quarterfinals of the men's 4,000 m team pursuit, alongside Jan Plantaz, Daan de Groot and Jules Maenen. In the individual road race Voorting ended up in 49th place. He died a few days after a traffic accident, aged 30. His elder brother Gerrit Voorting, Gerrit was also an Olympic cyclist. Gerrit Voorting
Gerardus "Gerrit" Petrus Voorting (18 January 1923 – 30 January 2015) was a Dutch road cyclist who was active between 1947 and 1960. As an amateur he won the silver medal in the individual road race at the 1948 Summer Olympics in London. In his professional career Voorting won two Tour de France stages and wore the yellow jersey for 4 days. Jules Maenen
Julius Hermanus Maenen (15 January 1932 – 11 February 2007) was a road and track cyclist from the Netherlands, who represented his native country at the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki, Finland. There he was eliminated in the quarterfinals of the 4,000 m team pursuit, alongside Adrie Voorting, Daan de Groot and Jan Plantaz. Maenen did not finish his individual road race. After the Olympics he turned professional and finished second at the Dutch National Road Championship in 1957 behind Wim van Est.
