Adebayo Alonge
Adebayo Alonge is a Nigerians, Nigerian pharmacist, Invention, inventor, Entrepreneurship, deep tech entrepreneur, and market development professional. He is the winner of the 2019 Hello Tomorrow Global Deeptech Challenge, known as the BNP Paribas Group Deep Tech Award, for creating a handheld nanoscanner that detects counterfeit drugs. He is the CEO and co-founder of RxAll Inc., a U.S. based deep tech start-up firm. He studied in Lagos. Education Adebayo Alonge attended King's College, Lagos, between 1996 and 2002. He studied pharmacy at the University of Ibadan, and graduated with first-class honors in 2008. King's College, Lagos
King's College, Lagos (KCL) is a secondary school in Lagos, Lagos State, Nigeria. It was founded on 20 September 1909 with 10 students at Lagos Island, adjacent to Tafawa Balewa Square. The school admits only boys as pupils, although prior to the establishment of Queen's College Lagos it also admitted some female students. History In 1908, the Nigerian Acting Director of Education in Lagos, Henry Rawlingson Carr, proposed to Governor Walter Egerton a detailed scheme of education for Lagos. Carr's suggestions and proposals were the basis for the formation of King's College. Pan-Atlantic University is a private, non-profit educational institution in Lekki, Lagos State. Timeline The university had its origin as the Lagos Business School (LBS), established in 1991. The federal government approved the university as Pan-African University in 2002, and the LBS became its first school. Mandela Washington Fellowship
The Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) is an initiative of the United States Department of State. It was started by President Barack Obama in 2010. YALI is a programme aimed at educating and networking young African leaders with activities including the Mandela Washington Fellowship that brings them to study in the United States for six weeks with follow-up resources and student exchange programs. In 2014, the program was expanded to include four regional "leadership centers" in Ghana, Kenya, Senegal and South Africa. 500 participants in the Mandela Washington Fellowship arrived in the United States on June 16, 2014.
