Adaro (mythology)
Adaro is a term for two distinct classes of beings found in the mythology of Makira island, in the Solomon Islands. The first class is that of ghosts, which may enter an animal, tree, or stone, or remain in the village where they had lived. With the proper entreaties, these ghosts can be commanded to kill or maim living people at a distance. Fox & Drew (1915). The other class is of elemental spirit who play a part in many creation stories around the island. Thijs Ploegmakers, known musically as Adaro, is a Dutch DJ and record producer, producer.https://www.djadaro.com/ He has produced music in several Electronic dance music, dance styles, and in 2008 started producing Hardstyle, raw hardstyle, for which he is considered to be one of the originators of. Career Ploegmakers' breakthrough tracks as Adaro were “The Haunter of the Dark" and “No Time To Sleep”, along with a remix of “Answers” by Chain Reaction. In 2013 he was voted number 75 in the DJ Mag, DJ Mag Top 100. Adaro released his music on A2 Records until 2014. In March, 2015, alongside Ran-D, B-Front and Frequencerz, Adaro became a founding member of the hardstyle record label "Roughstate". Ploegmakers has released multiple songs that have reached marked commercial success within the hardstyle field, including "Touch A Star" with B-Front feat. Adaro was a German medieval folk rock band active from 1997 to 2006. Style While their first CD, ''Stella Splendens'', was based mainly on Spanish songs from the 13th and 14th century, the later works incorporated late medieval songs from the ''Minnesang'' tradition by artists such as Hans Sachs, Walther von der Vogelweide and Oswald von Wolkenstein. The album ''Minnenspiel'' (2002) has been lauded for being a fresh, original work in the Mittelalter rock genre featuring very melodic and modern sound structures.
