Adaptación (La Ley Album)
''Adaptación'' is the eighth and final studio album of the Chilean group La Ley, released on April 8, 2016. It is the first album that unites the band after a 9-year hiatus which had started in 2005. Notably thirteen years separate ''Adaptación'' of its predecessor studio album, ''Libertad''. The album was produced by Jean-Yves ''Jeeve'' Ducornet (co-author of the song ''Quiero Creer'' by Beto Cuevas and the promotional single ''Ya No Estás''), Guillermo Porro and the same band. The album has a total of 12 songs. However, in the words of the members of the band, there will be a ''deluxe'' version featuring three ''bonus tracks'' (''War of Love'', ''Prisionero Sin Palabras'' and ''Sigo Viendo''). Two songs are in English (''Child'' and ''Soul Chauffeur''). Originally, there were plans for three, but the label asked that one be adapted into Spanish (''Guerras de Amor''). ; ) were a Chilean rock band formed by Andrés Bobe, Rodrigo Aboitiz, Luciano Rojas and Mauricio Claveria with Beto Cuevas. The band has won one Grammy Award, two Latin Grammy Awards, three Lo Nuestro Awards and three Premios MTV Latinoamérica. Luis Alberto Cuevas Olmedo (born September 12, 1967), better known as Beto Cuevas (), is a Chilean-Canadian singer, songwriter, plastic artist, painter, and actor. He is the lead singer for the Chilean band La Ley. In 2008 he launched his solo career with the release of his album, ''Miedo Escénico''. In 2012 he released his second album, ''Transformación''. Music career 1988–2004: La Ley In 1988, during a trip to Concón, Chile, Cuevas met Mauricio Clavería, drummer for La Ley. Clavería invited Cuevas to join the band, which had just lost two founding members, Iván Delgado and Shía Arbulú. Beto made his debut as La Ley's singer on their first album, ''Desiertos'', quickly becoming the voice of the band.
