Académico de Viseu Futebol Clube, commonly known as Académico de Viseu, is a Portuguese professional association football, football club based in Viseu. Founded in 1914 as ''Clube Académico de Futebol'', the club went through several changes over the course of the years, folding in 2005 due to financial troubles and re-founding under its current name. The club currently play in the Liga Portugal 2, holding home games at Estádio do Fontelo. History In 2005, ''Clube Académico de Futebol'', an historic founded officially in 1914 which competed in four Primeira Liga, top division seasons in the 1980s (the last being 1988–89 Primeira Liga, 1988–89), folded due to financial problems. Estádio Do Fontelo
Estádio do Fontelo (; Fontelo Stadium) is a stadium in Viseu, Portugal. It was completed and opened to the public in December 1928. It is mostly used for football (soccer), football matches and hosts the home matches of Académico de Viseu. Bruno Brígido de Oliveira (born 9 March 1991), known as Bruno Brígido, is a Brazilian footballer who plays for Portuguese club Académico de Viseu as a goalkeeper. Club career Born in Criciúma, Santa Catarina, Bruno graduated with hometown's Criciúma. During his spell at the youth setup he was also a squash player, but chose football. On 24 September 2011 Bruno made his professional debut, starting in a 0–2 away loss against Boa Esporte for the Série B championship. He spent the whole campaign as a third-choice, however. Bruno was elected as first-choice in 2013, and made his Série A debut on 26 May, playing the full 90 minutes in a 3–1 home win against Bahia. Cihan Kahraman (born 8 October 1998) is a Turkish professional footballer who plays as a central midfielder for Portuguese club Académico de Viseu. Club career Cihan, who started his football career in 2005 in the youth academy of his hometown team Türkiyemspor Berlin, was transferred to the youth academy of Union Berlin in 2012 and signed his first professional contract there. Nils Mortimer Moreno (born 11 June 2001) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a winger for Liga Portugal 2 club Académico de Viseu. He is a former Spanish youth international. Career Barcelona Born in Málaga, Mortimer began his career at UD La Mosca as a four-year old. Federico Gomes Gerth (born 5 March 2004) is an Argentine professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Liga Portugal 2 club Académico de Viseu.
